    Hi everyone
Well, I would say that my midwife came round this morning...but she didn't! What I did experience was two ladies who I have never seen before explaining that my midwife was meant to phone and tell me that she couldn't make it and they would replace her. No...I didn't receive a phone call actually! Quelle surprise(!) Anyway....I still rejected a stretch and sweep and this lady said had my midwife talked to me about other options? No....So...I was in the toilet doing my sample and came back and she's bl**dy booked me in to be induced next Thursday as I will then be two weeks over due! I am dreading it!!! :( I am now going to spend the rest of the day on my ball bouncing this baby out :j...oh yeah, and doing some gardening with Mum when she arrives! :T

awww i thought it was sweet that Fabio stayed there, although I did think Joy was gonna go mental about him moving the chair so much.....

I really hope I dont turn into one of those stubborn women who refuses to move, despite it being best for baby...... I keep giving DH little tidbits of information about birth, like i dont want an epidural....and i want to avoid gas till im at least 4cm...... knowing me I'll be climbing the walls in pain and screaming the place down LOL

I don't think I could make that sort of plan :rotfl:

OH wants a waterbirth and no epidural because of the dangers (I've previously had 2, one fine, one bad) but I'll be having gas and air as soon as they will give it to me :o

Childbirth is a weird experience, in some women it just brings out our inner fire breathing dragon :rotfl: Don't worry if you're stubborn, the midwives do understand. You can always apologise if you say something horrible, the second time I needed to because I had an epidural and was still in pain. I believe I said some horrible things about the anaesthetist, but through the gas and air fog I still don't remember exactly what I said :o

Fabio obviously really loves Joy, may be the hormones but I cried when he tucked her in so gently even after she had just been a right cow to him :)

They both looked so happy at the end, gazing with so much love at their little one. Well done to them both!

Thats exactly why i've not told OH that I am ruling anything out lol

I am hoping for Water Birth so I can only really have Gas and Air, you are allowed Pethadine at my hosp but you have to get out of the pool and you can only get back in once its practically worn off (which makes me think its pointless lol)

But If I am not handling the pain then no pain killers are being ruled out lol

Guinea - Sorry you arent having much luck with the stupid midwives! you can still refuse to be induced I think? get bouncing and scrubbing and all sorts lol

You see I saw Fabio and being annoynig and irritating lol, like in the other episode she wanted a piece, just one piece of chocolate but he insitied she had a banana, now I know she is diabetic but come on she has been cooped up in hosp for days lol give her the choc

THey were nice together though, I mean they have been together 20 years so they obv love each other.

Question lol, OH left a Mcdoanlds hamburger on the bench in the kitchen still wrapped up in its wrapper, am I ok to zap that in the microwave and eat it? I really want it lol but not if I shouldnt of course lol

I am getting so broody watching all these baby birthing programmes, GAh lol

Can I? I didn't realise that. I thought that two weeks was the absolute deadline and you had to do something by then? Mind you, I don't really know much as my midwife has not really been very useful. Don't think I mentioned on my last post that she is also on holiday next week...off skiing don't you know?! This new midwife told me that today....oh, hadn't your midwife told you? No!
I have been bouncing a lot since last being on but I find that I need a wee every five minutes now! Hopefully the gardening will also help!

Yup you can, this is from a midwife website

    http://www.midwivesonline.com/parents/parents1//////?ttl=faqans&faq=373

    Can I refuse induction?
scream_labour245.jpg You have a right to say no to any intervention. When induction is considered, your Doctor or Midwife should discuss all your options before any decision is reached. You are within your rights to decline induction but make sure you are aware of the full facts as to why it has been suggested. You can then make an informed decision based on these facts. If you wish to delay induction beyond 42 weeks, then it may be suggested that you attend the Maternity Unit for twice weekly monitoring to check on your baby’s and your health. You will also be offered an ultrasound scan to check on the amount of water surrounding your baby which can be a good indicator to placental functioning and the overall wellbeing of your baby.

All back from Docs and woohoo am officially engaged :D babys head is 2/5 palpable so doc says she is ready for outage anytime, never heard better news lol. BP fine and heard HB which was reassuring what with her being so quiet latley. Urine fine too thank heavens didnt want a repeat performance of the other week! Told her being getting period type twinges/cramps and she asked me if I was feeling alot of pressure. She's hopeful bubs wont be too much longer now so yeay. Im hoping before the weekend is out :D

Kindof - no internal! How longer has the burger been on the side, if its longer than 90 min then Id give it a miss. Hopefully being in the pool will be all the pain relief we need!

Guinea - really hope the bouncing and gardening has the desired effect x

Had a wander to the shops after doc and got new magazine for me and OH and some nommy fudge flap jack :D Decided as this will probably be the last day I drive (its just too damn uncomfy) I'd make the most and pop into work too, gave me an excuse to walk about too. Thinking I might have another walk with OH again this afternoon if it stays ok out, try and encourage her to put in an appearance.

You can refuse induction, but its not good for baby. The placenta stops working as well after 42 weeks, thats why you have to be monitered.
But if you feel strongly about letting it happen naturally then refuse it. Or just dont turn up... :p

    Afternoon! I woke up at 12:20pm :D
Had a good nights sleep, which is weird cause since i hit 39 weeks, i've been sleeping ok in the night, but rubbish in the morning.

Well anyway, i had a really bad dream :(
There was a massive storm and it was so windy it was knocking people over. And loads of kids got seperated from their mums and dads. So i gathered them all up and took them to this empty shop that had the doors blown open.
I stuck up loads of signs and eventually all the mums came and got their kids.

Except this one little boy, his name was Euro (???) all he could say was "Euro" and "Happy birthday tomorrow" and i grew really attached to him, i bought him some new nappies and practially became his mum whilst we were waiting. Then after a few days this woman turned up and was like "Is my kid here? His name is euro?" And i went and got him and he didn't want to go to her and kept cuddling into me, then she grabbed him and left. Not caring that her son was missing.
And i cried. Then i woke up feeling really sad :(
    :o:o

Was having small pains last night, which stopped when i went to bed. But started again this morning. And seem to of stopped for a bit now :(
    WHY!!!???!!!???? :rotfl:

eta: The pains are in my lower back and bump, if that means anything?
