kitkat - sounds like you got some good bargains there. Did mother have a reason for telling you off, or is she being supersticious?

Yeh my mums just supersticious! I cant stop looking at stuff tho! But i thought with buying the feeding stuff, I am going to need it and knowing my luck it wont be on offer when I need it!!

Hi everyone I have been lurking here for a while now but I am still too scared to post and offically "join", anyway I am just over 20 weeks with identical twins and have recently decided I need to be a bit more organised this time around and have started buying bits and bobs just wondering when everyone else started to buy?

    Hope everyone is well
  • Congrats on identical twins Hobo!

I've bought a few bits so far but will be waiting till after I have my 20 week scan before buying anything else. Simply because I think it will be a bit easier once I know what sex I'm having but otherwise I won't be buying much till nearer 30 weeks but thats because of cash flow. If money wasn't an issue I'd be buying all the time I reckon :D

The bits I have been buying are while things are on special offer - nappies and stuff from sainsburys because I have just read you should estimate going through 100 nappies per week! I wont have anything in the house yet which is probably totally irrational just wondered if it was just me who feels like this or if its normal.

    Mortgage-free Glee!
    Hi all,

I am 17 weeks and have got loads off stuff from freecycle, but have bought a new buggy cause it was such a bargain, and a birth - toddler set of reusable nappies off ebay. I was so not supersticious and started collecting stuff of freecycle before we had conceived, just cause its easier to do in the school hols. OH was horrified!

I have some clothes, but does any one know how many vest and sleep suits I will I need for each age? If I wash colours and whites alternative days?

    Thanks x
