I know :o I'm the ultimate neurotic mother when it comes to health tho! Have one of those baby breathing monitors but still wake up in the middle of the night to check hes still breathing (give him a wee poke til he moves) cos I don't trust it! Drives OH mad :o:confused:

OH always says 'What u doing?' while I'm leaning over the Mosey listening to him breathe!

true enough em. I'm not going to have to explain that nanny used to be granddad....;)

Sorry you sometimes feel ignored too. As my nearly due date buddy I always watch out for you. Sorry if that hasn't come across.
weezl!! dont be silly, you are such a lovely thoughtful person!!
its normally when there are meets Oop North, and sometimes i think it is a bit cos i joined MSE and the preg thread when i was already overdue, so i think a lot of you have had more bonding time and have more in common with the areas you live IYSWIM? while i'm in the mood for sharing i may as well be honest and say i was upset and tried to leave a couple of weeks ago when i went back to work cos nobody asked how it went except elle, and the previous week MFD and mookie had gone back to work and had lots of well wishes, but i'm over that now ;)

i'll call that chat a challenge... OH has dictated that it will be my job, so i said The Big Chat can be his ;)

  • lol at you two with your neurotic monitors !! I got given that one, and DO NOT use the mat, just the sound bit !! However saying that, if they had been about when Jas was a baby, I very well may have used it !! But when its your 2nd you are a little bit more relaxed about things :)

ETA - that is not being patronising in any way whatsoever BTW, just that as you go on, you do learn to relax a bit, but we are all neurotic at the start !!

weezl_ sorry can't quote and its annoying!!! Anyway, monitors I have been thinking about this, I don't think at 1yr I'd stop using it. I think possibly 18mths? I'm a terrible 'what if' er, couldn't live with myself if something happened to child 1 when I was perceiving the risk to be with child 2 IYSWIM
£50 a small price to pay for piece of mind IMO

:rotfl: Just told my mum about the DLA..

Mum: Can you afford to stay off work now?
Me: Yes, but I still want to go back..
    Mum: Oh good..

She's so looking forward to looking after Rhys. If I win the lottery I think I'm going to have to keep it a secret!

MM- this is my second lol I was up half the night checking DD was still breathing thats why I bought a monitor this time.
I know its horrible but my greatest fear is going to get baby out their bed in the morning to find they've slipped away.
