Thanks for the offer but MIL supplies us with rosemary and I don't like sage
:)
I think I'll pop dried parsley on my shopping list and make the pie more often!
in case you or anyone else is interested I used 2 basa fillets, 2 small salmon fillets and some prawns and 3 small carrots grated, I put what garlic n herb philly I had left (about 1 heaped tsp) in the bechermel (sp?) sauce and topped with potato & sweet pot mash (found the sweetpot when I got the normal pots).
It took me longer than planned, mostly because I had to make 2 sauces because the first batch wasn't big enough  and I had 2 small children 'helping', pestering and crying through out
Ps. I've ordered my dress from babes with babies and found a 10% voucher Here if anyone is interested
This is very cute http://www.babeswithbabies.com/product_details.asp?product=Ruby+The+Reindeer&product_id=2551
Which dress did you order? I think I need to invest in some nice nursing tops but not sure I can stretch to those prices :eek:boogellyboo wrote: »Hi all,
Can I join please? Isla Mae was born Thursday 19th Nov at 4.34am, we had to stay in overnight due to meconium in the waters but since coming home she's doing great and OH and myself are besotted and completely in love with her.
Ive lurked a bit the past few days but havent had chance to post until now, I recognise a few names from the preg thread. Just waiting for the HV to call and do her heel !!!!! test.
We're breast feeding and so far going ok. A few latching issues as I have hugely inverted nipples:o so may be crying out for help and advice soon.
Oh, and this is my princess
Yay, my birth date buddy! Isla Mae is just gorgeous. Glad to hear that she is doing so well.
I'm suffering with very sore nipples at the moment. I went to a BF clinic this morning to try and sort out Henry's latch, but now I'm home it just seems the same as ever. Anyone got any words of wisdom? He's a great feeder, but the ends of my nipples are getting so chapped.
Also has anyone got a Snugglenest? We've just bought one as LO seems to love being in our bed and really will not settle in his Moses basket.
Glad you peeps had a good meet. SM- was it today that you and Elle were going to Hotel Chocolat? I love their Strawberries and Cream drops.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
I'd make it the day before if you want to keep it a secret, on the morning if she knows about it... I like the idea of Sami's topping... But if I'm making buttercream I don't measure it out... JUst soften butter and stir in icing sugar until it doesn't taste like butter anymore...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Hello all.
I'm so jealous of you meeting in RL ladies today - hope you had a good time.
Mel Hugs hunny. Would a chat with the HV be better for you than the Doctor? I don't know how you do everything that you do - so you're bound to feel stressed at times. Even more so in that memorable early pregnancy hormonal state!
Feelie Where are you? Hope you're ok.
AM - Hope you are ok too.
Sami/Glam - If there is an Ikea trip on, could it be on a Thursday or Friday? I NEED a trip to Ikea.
Sami - Yey for freebies. I never received anything else from Emma J or BB's - my reports must have been rubbish!
Who was saying about Argos? They've been crap for me too recently. First order I didn't get a confirmation, and it logged as 0.00 on quidco when I spent about £250 -. Next two orders aren't showing up at all on quidco yet.
boogellyboo Isla is absolutely beautiful - congratulations. :T Has nobody quizzed you yet? Is she your first?, last?.
That was all from memory - hope I haven't forgotten anything important. Hugs to anyone else who needs them.
I've completed my second day back at work - and I really, really hate it! Violet is very happy at nursery, no crying at drop off or pick up time - and the staff all love her and keep telling me how pretty/pleasant/happy/well behaved she is! But I really miss her. (and you lot!
)
When I picked her up yesterday, I was presented with a glitter picture that she'd made with glitter & glue (!!!!!! - she's 9 months old!):beer:0 -
GISI, did the latch feel any better when you were at the booby group? Did they go through how to latch him on step by step?
Take your time and make sure he has a good mouthfull... Try to get him on before he gets too frustrated and hungry, and don't be tempted to put up with a substandard latch just because he's quiet...
A dab of vaseline can help soothe them, and doesn't need washing off before feeds because it will be absorbed...
And it gets better, promise!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Yeah, when I've got no time it's Tescos tray bake cake!Too many children, too little time!!!0 -
Phew!
Poor Molly's been having an awful day with teething - her little ear is raw where she's pulled at it and her gums are ragged. Not to mention the nappies...
I caved and gave her 2.5ml infant calpol and she's finally sleeping after only ten minutes since 6am. So I've folded and put away all the laundry and made up all the nappies, cleared some dubious stuff from the fridge and now I'm sitting down with a yoghurt and some water. I've also emailed the Hot Milk people again with photos of the damage to my lovely bra, they said they'd replace it.
Is there anything beyond Calpol and things to chomp on that I can do for her teeth? My cleaner says that she used honey on the gums of all her kids, but I'd rather not just in case.
Hi we have exactly the same problem here - the more teeth we get the worse the symptoms! this is teeth number 7 and 8 and are causing LO much distressShe has napy rash like I have never seen it - but our attempt at fresh air on her bottom resulted in another stain on my carpet :eek::o so that's out for the moment
I use calpol when she needs it - but nurofen for children at night as it is better at pain relief for LO for some reason. Anbesol works well - but we find it hard to applyWe also use teething powders during the day - just make sure you give them in between feeds - otherwise all the milk can come right back up again.
otherwise - I need tips too pleaseThe dribbling is getting bad and hurting her wee chin. Another new symptom to add to our list.....

What type of thing are you after - I could talk you through it.

I've exclusively BF for 24 weeks and never needed a BF top yetalthough I'm hoping I can use these freebies to BF Edgar while he's in the sling though
Maybe you just need a spot of lansinoh my nips were a bit sore/chapped in the first week or 2 but that soothed them until Ed got the hang of feeding better(I got it free on prescription so ask your MW/HV/GP)
no snuggle nest here but I have Ed in with us when he's grumpy - same with ChrisSami/Glam - If there is an Ikea trip on, could it be on a Thursday or Friday? I NEED a trip to Ikea.

I didn't think I'd gety any more from EJ coz I said on my report that the stuff was old fashioned
I bet Violet liked the taste of the glitter0 -
Thanks Krystal. Yep, it did feel better. I just don't seem to be able to replicate it at home. It's so frustrating as he's such a good feeder but I'm just sooo sore!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0
