    No.

When I was a supply teacher I did nursery work in two different nurseries because the agency was short of nursery nurses and there wasn't much demand for teachers. I actually feel sick when I think about it as I found them to be such awful places. Although it is highly unlikely I would ever have chosen to use a nursery anyway, the experience made me resolve to never ever send any child of mine to one.

What do you think a child misses out on by being cared for full time by a parent rather than partly by a nursery?

It was more a case of everyone I know seems to have opted for nursery (although I know lots would like to be SAHM) and I got to wondering if Lo might be missing out on things. there has been a lot of talk about brilliant facilities and wonderful activities etc etc etc. I was interested to know if others had experienced this and how they made sure LO's got exposure to a range of activities.

other things we do include - soft play, visiting duck ponds (a real favourite right now!) and walks etc e haven't found a mother and baby group yet, and she's too young for playgroup right now. But I hope to do these things in the future.
They are great and offer at the mo at Asda 2 for £4

I too dont think enough research has been done on the swine flu jab so will be holding off for the time being.

PP - you are a genious - exactly what I was looking for. Guess where I am off to. Now - do I want them now or does santa put them into the stocking along with new bibs? hmm, perhaps one now and one at christmas :D

SB - is the hamper nice? We got SIL a hotel chocolat one for her birthday and were gooing to give one at christmas to other SIL, but their christmas offerings aren't nearly as nice this year so looking for an alternative. Have to have it delivered to them though as they are very far away and although we'll see them at christmas they wouldn't be able to carry it back home with them. Any suggestions?
