oh and I think I've decided about the pig flu jab :undecided
I'll get Edgar jabbed because if he did catch it I wouldn't have a chance of getting him to take medicine to bring the temp down but Chris I'm not because he will take meds easily. What do you think? or do you think if Ed has it Chris should too?

Hmm - another thing for your mum to comment on? Treating the boys differently....

If I had 2 that could have it I would probably do the same for both...

    ...still undecided in MFD towers...

Big driver for me is would I be able to forgive myself if I didn't get him jabbed and he did catch it.

But the emergence of strains that it won't protect against makes me think maybe not....

Does Chris get sick easily ?? I wasnt going to give it to Dylan, but the pediatrician told me to, and because of Jasmines asthma, she was better off having it, as it would be quite bad for her
Well Chris isn't a sickly child but does get the odd cold.
TBH I don't really want either to have the jab but I think if Chris caught it he would be fine to be nursed by me at home but if Edgar got it I don't see how I could because he just won't swallow anything but boobie milk from a boob. so unless he changes before he's ellijable I'm thinking he should have it.
My (crazy) worry is that I get Ed jabbed and then Chris gets it and dies so therefore it's my fault ??:o

sounds silly but have you looked inside the lid? sometimes it gets stuck to it and comes off with the lid when you remove it...

I'm on the radmid yahoo group and the discussion on the jab is currently going and it's so confussing!

MM, how did your 2 feel after the jab?

where the jab was was a bit red for a day or two and Jasmine had a bit of a sore head that night, but no other reaction to it at all, Dylan slept normally and wasnt sick or anything, however he got a little rash so they think he had a little reaction to the egg protein it is grown on

hello everyone. Been a busy weekend, although I did try and catch up on the thrad last night.

Been out and about at tumbletots and starbucks today already. Just missed the rain too which was great.

swine flu jab. Hmmm, this is a hard one. I'm just not sure TBH. I think I need the GP to give me some more information on this before I can make an informed decision. Sami - I would be of the opinion that what you did for one you should do for both IYKWIM. chances are they would be in the same places/same risk factors etc.

    anything exciting been happening?

SB - lateness is one of my biggest bugbears. I think it makes the worst first impression, although I am slightly more forgiving now I have a LO, but not much!

DH has the opinion that not enough research has gone into the jab and its being rushed through too quickly. I'm not so sure but we're not making any decisions just yet.

  • I think I was a bit more pro the jab, because the son of my next door neighbour died 3 months ago from swine flu, and he had no underlying health issues and was generally quite a fit person ... it scared me slightly !
