    Hey Friday night people!

I dont have a huge amount of time to catch up tonight, will try and post again on the phone at 6/7am when i'm feeding, just wanted to say thanks to pookie who's got some fairies on the case for a snowsuit for me... :)

Wonder what goodies i have here that i could offer? Will have a nosey about and see what i can find, i do have a 0-3 month snowsuit which I can probably send on in about a week or 2, it's blue and in perfect condition!

Silly question which I should (because I shouldn't have stayed in the house for so long) know the answer to.. What are SureStart centres like? I mean, I know from the HV that she's there on a Thursday morning for weighing and measuring, but if I go on another day who will be there? Will there be like a reception desk with someone there all the time to tell me about what they have to offer?:o
  • Corr, that syrup sponge has beaten me... Been a while since that happened!

Elle, Caitlyn's been toppling over sideways mostly for a couple of weeks now but yesterday I noticed she was kind of propping herself up on one arm, then tonight she just sat there, for ages too! We're very impressed!

Mfd, give her chance, she's not quite six months yet... I've got a week to read my book... Not bad considering I bought it while I was pregnant...

Buttons, I hope my experience is better than yours! Did you try calling back to talk to someone else?

Oh yeah... And Caitlyn took a dive off the sofa today... Landed flat on her back on Aimee's crayons... It was completely my fault, Aimee was dawdling getting her clothes on for school so I stood up and took a step towards the television to switch it off and I think Caitlyn rolled to see what I was doing... She had a little cry but was otherwise OK... Aimee had a little cry because she thought her crayons had hurt her... We all had a cuddle together...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Around here they kind of vary. I have never seen a HV or MW at any of ours...although they are apparently supposed to be based there! But there is always a reception manned by lovely ladies who want to coo over your baby for 5 minutes...and then say hello to you :)

    Ours have reasonable websites too.

Ours don't seem to have websites :( I don't really know why I want to go, I just think I ought to give it a try.. I do want to do baby massage and baby signing (if it isn't too late to start them :o) but I can't find anything in our area (nothing on netmums). I feel a bit weird about the breastfeeding type things.. maybe I just don't want to have to explain it all over again. At least with massage/signing, if the person running it realises Rhys' age and why he's so dinky etc then I might not have to get into conversation with anyone about it.. iyswim :o

Is it not standard to refuse to pay out if there's no receipt? It happened to me and I assumed that was just how it worked. *shrugs*

Anyway, Molly just bit my nipple with her two sharp little fanglets and I am off to bed to nurse both my sore nipple and Husband, who is feeling very cold. I'm worried he'll end up back in the hospital. We're not taking our planned trip down to Salzburg tomorrow so we can watch his every move and threaten him with butt thermometers :rotfl:

If anyone's looking for cheapy Christmas presents there's a great M&S one on the Grabbit board and the Thorntons codes are widespread (a £25 hamper and a £50 hamper free with some judicious manipulating of the 3 for 2) :)

    Goodnight :)

    Goodnight :)

I've got the window with the M&S one open for later and I've just been searching for the Thorntons code :D Saw it earlier in the week but didn't want to order anything with my less-than-reliable connection.

    Night night xx

My fairies have always been very slow :o but it is a lovely thing to do for others, and lovely to receive stuff too.

I never got around to reading any books :o about anything! I went to a seminar about BLW with Lorna and watched a video!

    Books = paranoia IMHO :o

Aw - hope Caitlyn (spelled correctly this time!) is okay after her tumble. I felt like I was handing a battered child over to the CM on Monday morning - I took a note with a list of the 'injuries' he had acquired over the weekend :o

I am pleased to report that Benjamin is now a master of sitting back down as well as standing up now though! Before he stood for as long as he could (he could do an hour if you let him!!) and if you hadn't moved him he would just topple!!

But what about things like your 2 year old cooker breaking, it's not going to be in warranty anymore from the store, so why would you keep the reciept? And most reciepts have faded completely after a year.

I did phone back but they didn't want to pay out, probably because it would of cost 1k at least to fix! I added that laptop specifically onto the policy too, which reminds me, I should phone up and get that removed because I'm never going to benefit from it!
