Weezl - I hope the work situation will come to some sort of conclusion soon! At least once you have a final answer you can plan things. xx
Do you grown your own anything? I was just thinking with the mention of starbucks and remembering that you have your starbucks with mummy friend they usually have a basket with "grounds for your garden" and also if you get a prepaid storecard thing they often give vouchers and freebies. (just in case you didn't already know :))

Due to the nature of hubby's job jewelry gets wrecked so he wears a similar cheepy wedding ring not his real one - Its a £7.99 lizzie duke special :p

Bruno I take it you didn't have MSE when you got engaged? :p
I picked my own rings (£125 engagement and £250 wedding) I didn't think too much about cost when picking, I just liked them

    grrrr @ 3's work!

Carla - Chris like to paint, my sis got him loads of stuff from ELC on offer for Christmas last year.

you don't need anything particularly special, we have an apron, big plastic mat for floor then let him loose with paint/pens/crayons/play doh (I'm yet to brave play doh at home though :ohe likes it at glay group)

weezl, i hope u get work situation sorted out to your advanatage very soon! its horrible worrying about thinsg like that!

Bruno - what time does Elijah go to bed, and what time is the last he gets somethign to eat at?
Just bsed on my experiencces -- When Katie was about to turn 1, she started waking at silly'o'clock, and we changed her bedtime (just by 15minutes) and her dinnertime (about 30mins) and then gave her a bedtime snack. This meant that she was having her dinner at around 4.30pm, having a bedtime snack (piece of fruit/toast/digestive biscuit/small bowl cereal) at about 5.45 and then going to bed at around 6.45pm. She then continued to sleep until 8amish the next morning! Just a thought!!

We have lots of paints and stuff bought for her birthday (end of this month!) and my sister is being her an easel. *mental note to self - must remember to buy Apron and FloorMat - shall save Mummy tears!*
She sint fussed on playdoh at mothers n toddlers, i was thinking of making our own the next rainy day and then plyaing with it. Although, need to go buy some cutters n stuff like that!

3 -- thats really irritating of your work. not very professional of them at all!!

Elle - we had one of those seats for the bath bought for us for Katie and personally, I thought it was very handy!!

bruno- thanks for asking after me too :p;). Was just pondering what you said about OH and work and writing and finances...

one friend of mine did some tutoring for the Open University in creative writing. The work was all online, looking at students essays and giving some feedback.

Was just wondering if there was a way of OH turning her writing skills into something with a little income generation. Not that I think it's bad to not earn in her position, just I'm aware that families where there is the same income divided between 2 earners are treated much better under the WTC scheme, than families where there is one key 'breadwinner' like yourself IYSWIM?

Sami, thanks for the tip about starbucks :) I do grow my own, but was a bit rubbish this year, but managed a hefty crop of basil so we are pesto-tastic here at weezl towers!

Carla, I'm not very good at knowing what 2 yr olds can safely play with so not very useful :o, but I wondered if you and Katie could make christmas decorations, cards or presents together...

    Sami's hands and feet reindeer?

    Home made baubles?

red and green wool pom-poms for your tree?

I made home made wrapping paper with my little neice, using a potato print shaped like a holly leaf and then little finger dabs for red berries....:D

3, grrrrr about your work. How dare they be inept and make it look like you haven't shown up!

seth has that bath chair elle, its fab! when he was smaller he would slump and his shoulders would get caught, but now he is bigger he quite happily sits in it and splashes around. it makes bath time more fun cos if we were having to hold him up bath time would be just a case of in and out cos we have a small but deep bath and it kills our backs to lean over!

seth amused me this morning, i took the cat to the vet this morning and he fell asleep briefly in the car on the way back but not long enough for him to have had a proper nap, so i put him up in his cot where he grumped for ages and i had to go and sort him out 3 times, and on the 3rd time he started grumping when i got to the door, so i turned round and pointed and said "NO" in a firm voice, and i've not heard a peep out of him since :rotfl:

    MY CAFE ISNT WORKING

Is it any wonder the public think we're useless!

OH works there too (but not for long :D).
He does a late shift once a week - its guaranteed his manager will phone him on the morning of his late to see where he is! Although the rota is on a huge chuffing whiteboard above her desk!
