Krystal - if you want to meet for coffee I could do one day this week? For the last Monday of Mat. leave! I've got two more Mondays left.
Saturday is a good day to meet Krystal - then I can come too!
I'm waiting in today for the Argos delivery man - lucky really because its absolutely chucking it down!

sami and elle :Athanks for asking after me on the weekend, I've been spying but not had much energy to post. Feeling a bit down about work but only feel there's so many times I can write that without feeling bored with myself!
mfd hope you got my PM?;)
searchie I hope your early nights are helping with the tearfulness. That's often a sign for me that I've got over tired, so really hope you feel a bit better soon.
Engagement rings- ok you're all going to think me a little peculiar (again!) but I asked not to have one and to have a well sunk for fresh water in a village in Africa. I have a £3.50 silver band which I wore on my ring finger as a symbol though.
Kristal, after the baby gym was no fun because of sitting, we put an inflatable ring inside it so the toys were reachable, but from a sitting position IYSWIM?:

Morning all
OH's engagement ring cost £700 - I did a lot of internet research and found about a hundred sites telling me I should be spending 1-2 months' gross salary on it :mad::mad: way to make me feel cheap when buying the most expensive gift I'd ever given for the most important question of my life! Curse you, internet! *shakes fist*
It's a nice ring though
Our wedding bands were made by a jeweller friend of ours for cost, and were just nice white gold plain rings for around 80 quid each.
Awww for people with ML running outvery frustrating, hope it works out for everyone, I am sure it will really! Hope there aren't too many tears! I'm reasonably happy most of the time that we're sticking with OH staying at home as a full-time mum, at least until nursery in a year or two, and maybe even then. She is novel-writing and adding a few hundred words most days, so she still feels she's being productive as well as staying very involved as a mother. It's a bit of financial pressure though.
Elijah's breakfast demands have somehow got earlier without my realising, he is demanding food very loudly by 6.30 every day nowwould love to shift that half an hour later somehow. He also refuses banana for breakfast, but guzzles it very demandingly at the other meals while shouting "Nana! Nana! Nana!, the little weirdo

Weezl - Fergie is such a cutie!!
I did get your PM...but I am too stoopid to reply!!
3 - Ooo, I had forgotten about Saturday. Do you fancy Nandos? It is the other side of town to where you are staying (Wolverhampton is not that big) but I could park near to your hotel and we could walk over?
Krystal - do you fancy Nandos on Sat afternoon? I was thinking of eating around 5 or 5.30pm.

Weezl, Fergy is lovely
I feel bad that we did not have a lovely big play gym now! I asked after you too! Is the work thing concluded (and not great) then, or is there still hope that things will work out with a reasonable maternity pay? Or would you rather just not talk about it, I shan't mind

I like Nandos - i'm happy with that! (Although if you're trying to have a no spend week - that kind of blows it!)
I've just had an email from my friend in work - asking where I am, i'm due back today apparently!
Rant to follow:.......feel free to skip.
The managers in my work are an absolute useless bunch of ar5es!
I booked the three weeks annual, the same day I arranged my maternity leave dates.
Then my team got a new manager, and I phoned him about something else, and confirmed that he's got my three weeks annual leave written down in my file.
I called into work a couple of weeks ago, and spoke to said manager, confirming i'll see him on 23rd November!
And, I emailed him last Monday asking about something, and said i'm not happy about them putting me on the other team when I return and if I have any say in it, i'd rather not change.
He emailed me back Tuesday morning saying he'll phone me later about the team change.
I'm still waiting - however the Manager of the new team phoned me friday asking me for my term time dates (which i've given into work about 10 times in the last year!) so i'm guessing he's done f'all about it!
AaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhH! (Is there a screaming smiley?):beer:0 -
morning everybody'!!
Hope everyone slept well!?
We slept in this monring, OHs dad called for him at 9am and we were all still asleep! god love him, he had to rush out without a cuppa coffee!!
I have to go out today, stayed in ALL day yesterday whicch is not like me at all! Also need some more milk for Christopher!
Would like to go to a cheapy shop to get some art and craft stuff for Katie - days like yesterday, she gets bored with her toys so easily, so thinking arts n crafty stuff would keep her enertained a bit longer?
On that note, any of you lovely ladies (and Bruno) have any ideas that would suit a 2year old for a crafty arty thing? or even any websites? The ones i found all seem very old for her?Carla-Farla!!
