    Ladies - your opinions please.

As you know, today was my first proper day back at work and Benjamins first full day at his childminder.

Hubby has gone out to a concert tonight, I booked the tickets for him and unfortunately it was just bad timing...

...however, when I got back at 6.15pm this evening hubby had already left to go out  The concert is a 10 minute taxi ride away and the doors open at 7pm so he had gone out early for a drink with his brother.

Am I right to be upset? He knew that we would be back around then and whilst he wouldn't have been able to spend much time with us a 10 minute chat and a cuddle would have made my day :(

I rang hubby in tears asking why on earth he would do that to us and where his priorities lay and, after putting the phone down on me initially, he has apologised for going out early....but for some reason I can't seem to accept that he is sorry and I am still very upset and angry. I just don't understand why he would go out without seeing us (or at the very least checking whether we would be home in time). The apology just feels like a way to shut me up and not answer my questions as to what he was thinking about.

He knew what a big day this was for us - as demonstrated by the big bouquet of flowers on the dining room table (as yet not put in water because I am too cross).

Am I just being tired and emotional?

    Will read back now... :o
    Hmmm, I'm blunt....but honest......yes :o

hugs to SS and feelie and MFD. And everyone else too :D

AM - have you tried looking at second hand ones near you? My mum got a really nice chicco one to live at her house for when we visit. It should have been £75ish new, she got it for £20 and it's in great condition. Have a look on gumtree etc

Feelie - one of my mummy friends and I were talking about our frindship circles and how they are changing now mummies are going back to work etc. It gets harder to keep up with folk so you tend only to make an effort with those you want to see. I would view the email as an invite and go if you want to. But don't feel bad if you don't want to go. try not to feel bad about not always being invited - it's that womans loss anyway :D

Can't remember what else I was going to say......
