mook i use to straighten my hair all the time but as it take an hour to 2 i just cant be bothered anymore .. if ive only done it 3 times since jayden was born and one of them times was at the hairdressers x

I have just purchased some straighteners (after the hairdresser commented that I was obviously one of those people that dont bother styling their hair!!!). Maybe something for special occasions then!

Carla - I guess it depends on you!
I've personally not left Jack sleeping in a room on his own for more than 5mins but that's because I'm a first timer and not had a decent monitor. :o
Now I have the BT 150, Jack will be sleeping in the cot after his early evening feed (between 7-9pm), be fed upstairs at next feed where it's nice and dark and then hopefully go down for the night!

Can't believe Christopher is still in moses basket!
Jack keeps waking himself up when he stretches and I woke up this morning and he'd wriggles right up to the top! Probably about 5 inches away from the top when he's at the bottom!

Where does the time go?

i have a question (as usual)

Christopher is sleeping through the night now (yay!) but am i bein too selfish and greedy to want him to go down earlier? He is currently in his moses basket and is usually asleep by now, but ideally i would like him to go to bed around the same time as Katie (approx 7.30ish) - so that I have some proper Carla time to myself? (i do sound greedy dont i!?)
ayone any ideas how i should go about this!?
Also - i want to move him into his own room, hopefully couple weeks after we come back from Donegal (this coning Sunday!) ....do u think he is too young? he will be 3months by then.....

hi carla i put jasmine in a proper routine about the same time, she went in her own room at 12 weeks (i kno its not recomended but she slept so much better in there!) n we started putting her up after her 7pm feed, she used to have a dream feed about 11ish but she doesnt need that anymore so she goes up at 7-7.30 with jake and its great!! its my fave time of the day (god that sounds awful i love em really ha)!!

Yay for sleeping throught the night!!

We put Benjamin in his own room at 12 weeks and it was the best thing we ever did! No more creeping around like theives in our own house!!

Does he nap around 7.30pm? I would just try getting him off to sleep, putting him down and seeing how you go. Benjamin used to wake for a feed about midnight for a while - or you could wake him to feed him before you go to bed.

Mummy time is fab!! Mummy and daddy time is even better ;)

Sorry Carla, can't help. Leila goes to bed at 10:30pm or sometimes 1:30am if we are in a forgiving mood. Funnily enough though she went to bed at 7pm tonight, had a feed at 8:00pm and is still snoozing.

Roll on Rhys sleeping through.. I want him in his own room before Christmas, regardless of if he's sleeping through.

So do my parents cos I'm having my futon from their loft in there and they want the loft space back! :p

No, actually  I really don't think it'd make any difference really.. :o

We're going browsing on Tuesday for rings - we're having silver/white gold band rings for Christmas to wear on our ring fingers. I do already have a ring from OH which is my ideal engagement ring although I wear it on my middle finger on my left hand.

    Sorry, I'm waffling - I'm a tad tipsy :o

    Waffle away!!
    Does Rhys have OH's surname?

(nowI am being nebby!! feel free to tell me where to go!!)

I hate hairdressers!! I refuse to go to Toni and Guy anymore because it is always some kid wearing too trendy clothing who doesn't think I am cool enough to talk to. When I went when Benjamin was about 6 or 7 weeks I said to the girl that I had just had a baby and I was treating myself and she just gave me a stupid wet half-smile  Even if she wasn't ar5ed about my baby she could at least have asked his name
They certainly don't teach 'em chit-chat at toni and guy

Sami - I'm confused about the dates!
The first one says Interim so not sure if the 2nd date replaces the first or if there is 2

Joshua stayed in our room for the first night. However he made so many snuffly noises and shuffled about in his sleep that I just stayed awake all night thinking he was going to wake up in a minute. He went into his own room the following night and stayed there. James and Charlotte never slept in our room and went straight into the own room.

I know guidelines say they should be in your room but then you've got to balance that up with the risk of a very tired Mammy who's had no sleep and could make mistakes and both her physical and mental health may suffer.
Here I go again on my own....
