I just don't like quinny's. :D The wheels are too small and you need a new seat unit (or is that only with the buzz) when baby is 18months.

Hello AF, did you enjoy your trip? Glad you came back (remember you saying you would find it hard to get back on the plane!)

Try not to worry about solids, up until a year old the idea is more for them to play with food, they get most of what they need from milk still. She really wont let herself starve.

Which Silvercross do you have? I had the Classic Sleepover, and the Zapp - complete opposites!

The Zapp did its job until I got the Stokke, but really wasn't that great. Had I done anything more than the odd quick trip out, I would have got a different one sooner.

It seemed very bumpy, and it doesn't recline. LO fills it quite well now, at 22lbs, so I don't know how long it'd last. It seems very low to the ground.

I'd say it was 'adequate' but I wonder if a decent traditional umbrella one would be better, if you don't need the carseat function.

I have the same Silver Cross Classic Chassis, but with the Freeway top bit. I do still love it, its great for walking to school and she looks all cosy in it, but it completely fills the back of the car, and we've got a big car!
We went shopping today, with it in the boot/back of the car so had to pile all of the shopping bags on the back seats.
We've already got a Mothercare umbrella fold one - but I don't really like it, its too wobbly and she looks cold.

So I wanted something cosy and comfy, that folds small and is nice to push. Any suggestions? (And i'm not looking anywhere near the Stokke price range :o).

enjoyed the trip soooooo much. had some quality time all with my mum, dad and nan. even had some on my own as my dad kept telling me to go off and my mum would have LO.

thanks for the info re solids, didn't really think of it like that. i keep worrying about her speech because she might not be working the muscles as she should, although her fav word at the minute is 'bra' and she is getting the hang of 'bye' together with the wave.

Thanks Carla - but don't worry about us. We'll be ok, the plan is to be extremely careful and vigilant and we have two backup plans available in case of emergency. And one of us will be with Molly at all times.

Welcome back AF, I'm so glad you had a good time :)
