Our news is that we/Rhys got DLA (middle rate, backdated from him being 13wks, valid until day before his 2nd birthday) :)

:T Well done. Nice Christmas present.

I got my application for a career break accepted today. :D So i'll finish first week in January, and go back to work January 10th 2014. (Unless i'm dying of boredom and decide to go back sooner - or we get made redundant in the meantime!)

I'm very happy, but also terrified at the thought of not having a job!

You could find something from home maybe? I work from home, so i'm here as often as possible for my girls. Plenty of opportunities, just make sure it's not a con job or you have to lay out money first.
  • Any ideas for a Christmas gift for the practice wife?

Can't be a handbag or purse as I did that last year. For her birthday in Nov I just bought her champagne! I was thinking a nice scarf or something but didn't want it to look like I was being rude (she is 10 years older than me!)

Really struggling....maybe nice candles or something?

Limit is as cheap as poss but £15 - £20 normally.

Hi all, i'm just going to jump right in and interrupt whilst I have 5 minutes.

Thanks for the message on FB Krystal and thanks to those who missed me (and if you didnt then why not?!!)

I am so busy these days I just dont know where the time goes. I cant believe how quickly christmas has crept up on me. I even have 2 weeks annual leave left and no time to take it (but will ask nicely to roll some over to next year or get paid for it).

I am sooooo tired at the moment too. We have started properly weaning this week and Leila is having 2 meals a day. This means getting up an extra 30 mins early in the morning and 6:30am starts dont agree with me. You'll be pleased to know that I have found my inner cook and I have been pureeing and freezing in earnest. I did manage to burn the carrots that I was boiling as the water boiled away. This confirms what I always knew - I cant be trusted in the kitchen. Anyway, i've bought some jars but so far i've managed to give her homemade stuff. Not sure how long I can keep it up but then again i'm still breast feeding and I was going to give that up months ago!!

Havent had time to catch up, I think (((hugs )))are due to ladybird and r.mac though.

In work news, I was made head of department last week so my ranting and raving got to my employers in the end! I have secured an £8000 pay rise so things are looking up a little!

I'll probably be around more after this week when i'm trying to wind down for christmas so will try to pop on more often.

Until then, be good and if you cant be good be careful.

    love to you all, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j

Nothing official asked/done yet, but word in the office suggests my temp cover lady isn't too keen on staying on full-time but would like part-time.. which leaves me more likely to go back to my old job, sharing with her, than going to the new job (cos they won't want to put me in the new job, have temp lady down to part-time and have to find a new part-timer for a job I'm already trained to do - understandable).
Here's hoping. I have it all crossed for you :D
    omg that took forever x

I have free dangling ears! :p

all together now: Do your ears hang low, do they swing to and fro?
can you tie them in a knot? can you tie them in a bow?
can you throw them over your shoulder like a regimental soldier?
    do your ears hang low?

You sod!!! You can guarantee that this will still be going around in my head when I get into bed tonight!!!

I just had to quote your 2 replys together (and out of context!) - are you questioning the state of Mrs M's bowels??
