Pookie - Not sure what to say apart from Hugs, I'm sure it'll all be OK
Searching - Glad you've got it all sorted now
R.Mac - HUGE hugs for you, tell who you like or tell no-one but please don't feel ashamed or silly about it. I think you've done a really brave thing by speaking to someone about it and hopefully you'll get all the support you need. Whilst I don't know you as well as everyone else on here if you ever need to talk to someone just PM me. (hope this isn't taken the wrong way?)
Weezl - Hope your meeting went OK?
Well as for me DH is at home now and if I was being completely honest he's getting right on my last nerve. He's looking after DD whilst I'm sorting out the probate stuff / money / setting up a business and I can hear him huffing and puffing constantly because he's having to juggle looking after her and doing the washing. I feel like constantly saying welcome to my world!!! I know I'm probably picking but I wouldn't mind having some alone time with her IYKWIM but we seem to have to get so much done before I go back to work.
We're off my late FIL's flat tomorrow to start clearing in and to say I'm not looking forward to it is an understatement, it's not the stuff it's the emotional side of it all as neither one of us have been back there since he died. You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
tinkerbell, that is really not a nice thing to have to do!! hugs.
also- i laugh so hard at my OH hen he starts huffing and puffing when trying to do things with the children and other stuff. Men just really cant multi-task!!!
Where is Sami! She was feeling a bit off earlier, hope she is alright!!Carla-Farla!!

We had to do something similar a few months ago, MIL passed away and we had to clear the house, it wasnt easy at all, but it will be a massive weight lifted once its done, has he got a lot of belongings that you're goin to have to sort. MIL didnt throw anything away, she even had birthday cards from over 25years ago!! to be fair it was all neatly organised, but still alot of stuff to go through. x0 -
Carla - I know it's just I want to scream what do you think I've done for the last 5 months, did you not notice the house being spotless, the washing done, your daughter looked after?????? He acts out he's doing this big thing when it's like "you've not even scratched the surface sonny boy" :rotfl:
Re the flat, no there's not that much to clear, I've already removed all the paperwork etc. that hadn't been filed for years and gone through that ready for probate so it's just going through all the draws / cupboards / stuff and deciding what to keep, what to give away, what to bin etc. It's the silly things like he had loads of trophies as he used to shoot for Wales - if we keep them what happens then, I just don't want them ending up in a box but I feel weird putting them out here IYKWIMYou laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
selfishly not caught up yet, but update from me first
:D.
My brother stayed out til 2.30 am and then went noisily to bed at 3 and came in my room first. He 'forgot' which one he was in. Once awake I couldn't settle so my day started at 2.30 am
So I'm not sure how well I handled my work meetings. Feel it's all got off to a v bad start with the new manager, but maybe I can work it out so we salvage a good working relationship.
Still, on the positive side I missed fergie soooo much and he seemed so thrilled to see me, it was kind of like having a hyperactive puppy!
I'll catch up now...
