It worked out well for us in the end but I did effectively marry a stranger (I was with my previous partner for 8 years without even getting engaged) and it has been hard work to get through stuff at times. This time 2 years ago we were having a very rough time but by the May we were deciding to try for a baby!!

    ((HUGS)) hun xxx

this is a bit how I feel sometimes - although we weren't as quick as you - having had a baby I realise I don't know as much abut hubby as I sometimes think I do - but that's not always a bad thing I might add! :D

I was diagnosed as having PND today :( I hope you don't mind me mentioning it - but not really wanted to tell anyone in Real life yet, but thought you guys would understand.

carla you said the right thing :D I've had to do some questionnaires (which are quite easy to 'pass'/cheat on!) but it was more a general chat over the last couple of months with the health visitor and Dr. The health visitor was explaining that there are often very different symptoms. For example, the only experience I have had of PND before is an acquaintance whose symptoms were that she was scared to be left alone with baby and was panicking at the responsibility and wasn't sure she'd bonded with her baby. My symptoms are more along the lines of feeling low, exhausted and trying (but failing) to please everyone else and not giving myself any/much attention. Oh and trying to make DH divorce me ;)

I've got some tablets. The Dr was lovely though and explained it's a low dose and although results may take some time, I'll get there eventually. ;)
((hugs)) rmac of course we understand ... you want a cuppa and a biccie??? x

can I have a chocolate one please :D

Where do I sign up? Sorry to make light, but I kinda presumed these were normal for just having had a baby!

Perhaps I should make an effort to see my HV so they have a chance to form an opinion. I was just gonna get some vitamins and see if that helped.

(((hugs r.mac))) you will get there hun.

Tigs, there is normal exhaustion and abnormal exhaustion. If you do feel bad, speak to your GP or HV and get it sorted sooner rather than later.
