yes, but I think my DH is willing to eat vegetarian food more often than yours searchie And fergie can't really moan, whereas zoe can express a preference ;) :)

philip is a BIG meat eater and has to have meat at least 5 times a week he knows things are tight so hes happy to have value verisons of everything .. zoe is a pain as she hates bits from tom bits in sause to bits in yogurts she also hates all veggies apart from toms and cucumber but will eat every fruit you can think of so i have to cater for 2 people likes but jayden im teaching him to love veggies one person in my house will be cheaper if it kills me ....... i also have a doggy to feed but hes on dry much better for the purse and on the nose (he stinks if hes on wet) x

    Hello all :)

Muffins waiting the preheated stove (and first lot of washing up washed up), rosemary plant has as yet no idea that I'm coming after it with the scissors, and pine nuts sitting awaiting toasting. Molly's laundry drying away, grown-up laundry and nappies washed, folded, put together (in case of nappies) and put away. Chicken soup from yesterday is in two pots in the fridge, one with fat and one without, remains are straining as I type. Living room and dining room both need a speedy tidy round before friends come tomorrow for tea and cake and I need to buy in some more milk in case anyone wants it in their tea. Emails all caught up on, bags are unpacked, [STRIKE]calendar needs updating with the new conference in June and receipts need collecting, but other than that[/STRIKE] I am done for the weekend and will be settling down with a cup of tea as soon as my shortbread is safely under way.

Just wandering in to say, Happy afternoon to all :)

Now wandering back to the kitchen.

Just a thought searchie, but I put into Martin's demotivator calculator the difference in cost between a week's meaty spend and a week's veggie spend and then worked out how long DH needed to work to afford it. He felt that an extra 3 years of work before retirement did not make steak taste so very much nicer than lentils ;)

I'm at the point where I'm contemplating using my car boot for storage! :wall:

My Dad needs to empty their loft completely and fit new insulation (some condition of being allowed to have as many windows as they want in the extension, or something) but had nowhere to put everything from the loft while it's done.. Must see if I can talk him into going halves on a storage place (those big yellow ones)!

Haha if only that would work with my hubby, he's another big meateater whereas I'm veggie so my shop is always more expensive as we have totally different meals. He doesn't mind if I use quorn in some meals but not all.

Well I went out and it was pants so I came home and went back to bed :D

Turns out the grownup laundry isn't put away after all because I had assumed Husband had done it, and now Molly's asleep in the bedroom so I can't do it. He is however chopping my rosemary and toasting my pine nuts :)
