Wow so many of you have had productive days today:)

I have had a very teary day, still haven't managed to finish the wardrobes, I think I am just going to take a hammer to it tomorrow and smash the darn thing off the wall. I am also not going to bother feeding my son anymore, he is fine at lunch time, eats loads. Dinner time is a different story altogether every time he eats maybe 3spoons of food at the most before bawling his eyes out....today it was one and he was hysterical...cue lots of crying from me...I just can't do it anymore he won't eat so what is the point of trying. ds2 was a nightmare too and every meal time was a battle, I don't want to go through it all again, why oh why, am I putting myself through it all a fourth time!!!!

Dh has snapped at me a few times today and barely helped me with the wardrobes I was even lifting the big floor to ceiling heavy mirrored doors (x4) on my own, and had to clear the room first which meant carrying out a desk and a chest of drawers on my own!!

    I am fed up...

I am also a bit upset about some comments on here the other day, but I am hormonal and tired so probably just took things the wrong way and i'm sure nothing was meant by it. But I think maybe if people on a forum who I don't kow can upset me (unintentionally) maybe I need to take a teeny step back and become slightly more uninvolved....

    Sorry for the rant

    Mel x

oh mel. lotsa hugs for you. Your entire post reminded me of me when i was pregnant with Christopher - lots of the same incidents and horrible feelings. I needed to shout at OH for him to take notice.

Im not sure what to say about the feeding thing though - dont want to sound (Ive forgotten the word, dammit.....) is he maybe having enough at lnchtime to do him? What time is his lunch and dinner?
I am a classic for foot in mouth syndrome, and saying things that other people take the wrong way, so i really hope i didnt do it with you, or anyone else on here for that matter!

  • Oh Mel, sorry you've had a rubbish day. Can you have a chilled out evening- relax in the bath once you've put the kids to bed? I can't imagine how hard work it must be with three!

Good day here- I've actually been out twice. Only to the Co-op and then for a Starbucks, but I've only been out a couple of times all week so it was nice to feel vaguely normal. OH is now off for a week, so can take some of the pressure off a bit.

After our disastrous Friday night, last night was a dream. He went down at 9, woke at 1am, 4am and 7:30am but I actually got to go to bed at a reasonable time so I feel much better today. He's been fighting sleep all day today, but has finally drifted off on OH for a bit.

SM- yay for nearly finishing Christmas shopping. I need to start wrapping mine and check what I still need. I think we have nearly everything.

Mel I hope it wasn't me either and big sorries and hugs if it was.

FWIW I feel I take things really hard at the moment and feel very easily criticised. It's a horrid feeling as Carla says.

Hope you are ok Mel *hugs*

You've got a lot going on right now, and it's bound to be difficult coping at times. Try and chill out and relax. Do something just for you like a nice pampering bubble bath or watching your fave TV prog with some nice choccy.

Sometimes with forums, we don't understand the context the post was written in. If we were speaking in real life, you'd be looking at my facial expression and body language as well as my words. However on forums, it's just words on a screen. I know I'm guilty of typing things that sound a bit cheeky and funny in my head, but then someone else reads it as if I'm being nasty to them :o

Managed to fix the toilet so it can be flushed without making a horrid noise now! I've been giggling about bottom entry valves and ball cocks all afternoon too :o:rotfl:

    *sniggers*

My shortbread is now half in the oven and half cooling, and it is TASTY. Om nom nom nom nom. Kitchen is cleaned up aside from the baking trays (conveniently covered in baking paper to minimise cleaning up) and all my stuff is washed up. I missed the window where Molly was awake so the laundry's not put away, but the living room is tidy and the dining room just needs a stern glance and the papers on the table swept into a drawer.

Do babies sleep more when they're having a growth spurt? Molly had an almost unprecedented two-hour nap this afternoon and was only up for about two hours before crashing out again. I swear she was taller when she woke up than when she went to bed earlier on though

Arrrgghhh IL's were bringing LO back for 6pm, anyway DH rang at 6.15 to make sure they'd left. Nope! Because they were letting him sleep  so now he'll have to be woken up and will be crabby and won't be going to bed at
his normal time. Now if they'd have left when they were meant to he'd be fine and in the bath now getting ready for bed.

    Sorry for the rant.

    ((hugs)) Mel xx
