my invite is @11th nov @metrocentre gateshead @7-9pm
if is crowded i am not going in :)
  • The last time the Penny bazaar was on, I waited for 30 minutes in relatively nice weather. Not sure I would do this in the cold, given my experience last time. I still have the five items I got last time, and haven't been able to give them away as presents, as they had the M & S anniversary logo all over them, which would have made me look quite cheap, if I had given them to someone. Generally, nice items of a good quality, but hard to give away as presents.

Yes because I can put my baby on the floor while I fold down his massive pram that would not fit in the luggage rack seeing as it is a newborn pram.

My mums disability is also hidden, so she gets the same problems so much so that she refuses to park in disabled bays even though she has a pass.

(I hope your disability doesn't get to the stage of a wheelchair)

Well, when i had my baby i knew i would have to use the bus (non driver) and got a from birth one hand fold model, was cheaper than buying a massive pram that wouldn't get round the shops and i know that if there is a wheelchair user i could fold it if i had too.
Like someone else said the space is a wheelchair space only for use by pushchairs etc. if no wheelchair is using it.

And wheelchairs do sometimes wait to get on first because they might need a ramp putting down or a hand from the driver, not because they are pushing in!

I never went to the last penny bazaar, what stuff were they selling please?

Sorry but I also have an opinion on the people complaining about the issue of provision for disabled people - they are being totally self centred and ridiculous.
What about the elderly, the sick but not disabled, those with non-physical disabilities, heavily pregnant ladies, people with back problems, people with young kids and anyone else who does not find it easy to queue up and wait for ages?
I fail to see how being physically disabled should in any way give you the right to queue jump for a penny bazaar. If you are disabled and are prepared to go queue up then fair enough, that is your choice, but considering it is for a few token items you don't really need, and for which you know there will be a considerable wait, why on earth should anyone get priority over anyone else.

And as for taking pushchairs on buses, if you are going on a bus, you really should have the sense to take a folding buggy. There is no need for an enormous pram for a newborn, that is personal choice (I have managed to have 3 children without ever using an enormous pram). I somehow doubt the wheelchair user chose to be that way.

Do people just like to argue for the sake of it on here?

Have not seen such a silly argument on any forum anywhere for a long time.

why is it that people with disabilities complain about being discriminated against but want special priory over things like this i know that its harder for people in wheelchairs to access places when theres a sale and i dont condone the bullying people that barge there way in but just cas you have a disability it shouldn't mean you go/get first dips i to use buses and have a buggie and its hard trying to get on a bus and put the buggie down when you have a child and shoping to contend with i avoid going on a bus as much as pos

Low floors on buses are not there for mums with prams, they're for people with wheelchairs. It's nice women don't have to struggle like they did in the past, but as far as I can see disabled people should always get priority for the space. Sorry to go o/t but I just had to say it!

Got my reward voucher but none for extra points on homewares/ladieswear as normal!

Have these invitations been arriving in the last couple of days, or longer ago?

Just wondering if mine is stuck in the post.
