One morning while making breakfast,
a man walked up to his wife,
pinched her on the butt and said.
'If you firmed this up, we could get rid of
your control top pantyhose.'
While this was on the edge of intolerable
she kept silent.
The next morning,
the man woke his wife with
a pinch on each of her breasts
and said.
'You know, if you firmed these up,
we could get rid of your bra.'
This was
beyond
a silent response.
So she rolled over.

by his

With a death grip in place,
she said.
'You know,

the postman
the pool man
and
your brother!'

At the moment if feels like I'm sleeping in a garage.
Seriously, I am grateful for what I have. Although it was a long time ago, I've lived life at the sharp end. The funny thing is that, at the time, it didn't actually feel like the sharp end because it was my normality.0 -
Morning all
Wet,cold and miserable here today!
Paul I think you've done really well to get as far as you have, you should be proud of yourself :T
Euro your not alone my biggest problem is my food bill! Mainly due to 3 bottomless pits - the kids lol They're all slim as well, which I find so unfair cos if I ate as much as them I'd be the size of a house lol
When I'm organised I do stick to a shopping list and I just tell the kids when it's gone, it's gone til the next time I go shopping. Some weeks I manage to stick within my budget but other weeks its a nightmare. I keep looking at the weekly meal plan thing on the os board but haven't tried it yet.
Tomtom thanks for that I looked at it but I live too far away in Middlesbrough but thanks anyway.
Pad today is 21p jar, 40p tin and £10 cap1 cc

Not that knowledgeable on stuff like this and I'm sure someone will come along soon but a couple of things strike me. Why does the interest flucuate; is that where you make more/less on the overpayment? Is there any way you can increase your minimum payments as that interest seems very high and most of your minimum payment is interest?
What rate is the loan at?
I'd still go to the bank and get them to go through it with you.
Jo x
I believe that the overall trend for the outstanding interest will be downwards each month but it may take a few months for this to become more noticeable due to the slight fluctuations. Also, is your loan flexible enough to allow extra payments without penalising you? With some types of loan, you can be better off allowing them to run to full term or by saving up the money you use as extra payments until such time as you can settle in full.
Thanks both of you. Firstly i cant find my agreement so not 100% sure what my interest rate is i know its here somewhere (pregnancy brain again!) i'll have another look today. I know i can make overpayments whenever i choose and will not be penalised, BUT they lower my monthly min payment too! I need to ask for them not to do this and increase my min payment. What i tend to do is put money in my pad acc till it gets to £200ish then pay extra off my loan, money is tight at the moment so i'm unable to make large overpayments or save large amounts each month. I just feel like i'm going round in circles with it. The lady i see is very nice anyway so hopefully she'll be able to help.
