You should be booted off the forum. How dare you?
I thought that furniture came from freecycle LOL.
I don't think I will ever buy furniture again after seeing what people put on there. I've given bits too though.
If you saw some of the junk people around here put on freecycle you would buy aswell :rotfl:

I've seen a mix of quality around my way. It's probably easier for me as I'm not really bothered about such things. If I wanted everything in black, I would be quite happy to get the best stuff I could from freecycle and if some of it wasn't black, just paint it. It's more likely that I would just bide my time though and wait for the right stuff to come along. Also, I suppose a lot depends on affordability. It sounds like you have got a lot further than me along the debt free trail. At the moment, apart from occasional small treats and a half reasonable holiday each year, I really am on essential spending only.
Maybe it's not such a bad thing that it hurts a bit sometimes. My lesson will be absorbed more readily that way.
Hope you find some really nice furniturte that you like. There usually seem to be some decent interest free deals in the sales - though I've no idea if the compensate for that by tacking it onto the price.
Are you going to do some in-store haggling? Go on. I dare you0 -

Hi, like the sound of this challenge, need tips on how to work it ! May I join you ?
Cheers
The idea is that you make a payment a day to your debts. Any payment, any debt. Some of the debt-free folk keep on with PAD to their savings.
You could do it manually, over the phone or using online banking. Some of us also pay into money boxes as well (I don't do this often though as Mr Fresian raids it for bus fares!)
Just make sure you put your daily payment on the thread in bold, colour, large font or all of the above!0 -
I'm in ! Might need to see what I can put away daily then pay a bit every week, just wonder if people actually make eg £1 or 50p payments online? Do the banks get fed up with small transactions ?Finally Debt Free (£8k to zero) yay! :j :j

If you think about it, if you pay £1 per day to your debts you are making payments of £365 per year which otherwise would have been spent on rubbish. Not to mention the interest you save! It can be quite amusing when you get a credit card statement and see all the £1 transfers though :rotfl:
Use whatever method works for you. Either pay the money weekly or daily, whatever suits! Just make sure you pop on to the thread and let us know how much you've paid - we have monthly volunteers who total up our collective payments for the month as you'll see from the front page. We've paid off LOADS as a group this year :T0 -
Thanks! Sorry, seems lazy not finding out for myself, been ploughing through loads of fascinating challenge pages for ages ! Off to make a start ...Finally Debt Free (£8k to zero) yay! :j :j
