Another vote for 4ever photos. I am getting married next year and have them booked but they've done several of my friend's wedings and come highly recommended!
Life in this world is, as it were, a sojourn in a cave. What can we know of reality? For all we can see of the true nature of existence is, shall we say, no more than bewildering and amusing shadows cast upon the inner wall of the cave by the unseen blinding light of absolute truth, from which we may or may not deduce some glimmer of veracity, and we as troglodyte seekers of wisdom can only lift our voices to the unseen and say humbly "Go on, do deformed rabbit again.....it's my favourite". © Terry Pratchett in "Small Gods"

I sorted out her cake with Jenny from bangor - www.jennyscakes.co.uk

Although the cakes here are lovely, the one we had our eye on was going to be £400-ish. We got the cakes from M&S and my mum made up the beaded sprays using wire from Craft World and bronze, gold, cream beads I got off eBay. Total cost was around £100. A big saving if you have the time, energy and patience to do it yourself or if you have a lovely mum (or friend) to help. If you want I can send a photo of what our cake looked like - just PM me.

I think I would give chocolate fountains a miss, having heard horror stories about kids sticking fingers in and coughs and sneezes...recipe for disaster...and a bit "old hat" now....

best option is a harpist or acoustic guitarist or piano player, if guests want to hear...sit closer...if they dont want to hear....move further away....no chance of food posioning....
I'm now a retired teacher... hooray ...:j

Those who can do, those who can't, come to me for lessons:cool:

Torby I would have to agree and disagree with you. Yes with some companies kids can stick their fingers in and coughs, sneezes etc but if you use a reputable firm who use a sneeze guard at all times this doesn't happen nor can flies or other insects get in near chocoalte. Also again with a reputable firm there no chance of food poisining etc as they are registered with their local council, hold food hygiene cert etc and are inspected regularly. If I was out and a kid or adult for that matter sneezed over any food on my display I would remove the dish immediately, bin it and replace it with a new one.

• Congratulations on your forthcoming wedding !!! For the couple who already have everything, why not hire one of our wedding wishing wells to ask your guests for money, without asking. This is turning out to be more popular than ever with a lot of couples who already have the house, the linen and the crockery ..... An increasing number of couples have already set up home together and have everything they need by the time they get round eventually tying the knot. Therefore, rather than asking guests for unwanted presents many are choosing to ask for money instead.

HOW DOES IT WORK
A brief explanatory poem accompanies the wedding invitations. One of our Wedding Wishing Wells, becomes the focal point at your wedding reception where guests can place their monetary gifts or vouchers.

The wishing well is for the couple who have it all. It will look fabulous at any reception and can be decorated to match the colour of your wedding theme in flowers or organza ribbon.
Please email me now on weddingwishingwellhire@hotmail.co.uk or call Sara-Jane on 07515519731 for further information and available dates
• If anyone is needing chair covers, they are a fantastic way of transforming any venue, even if you decide you want to hire a hall or upstairs room in a pub or club to save money, not just for weddings but also for any type of event. This company "swift services moneymore - swiftservices. Biz" chair covers in white, black and ivory and prices are:
£1 per chair including sash on a diy basis (where you can arrange to put them on yourself)
£1.70 per chair with full set up.

Prices include the sash, vat etc

my girlfriend is a florist, and a great one at that! and since this is a money saving website i strongly suggest anyone needing flowers done for a wedding go to her. she is able to undercut any florists (even the one she works in) by at least 150 to 200 pounds for a full days worth of wedding flowers for the church (or wherever else the ceremony takes place) the reception areas with table arrangements for each table and the top table, for the brides flowers and the whole wedding party ie bouquets and buttenholes.

pm me if you want her details or if you want to have a look at any of her portfolio photos.
