Yes i to have just been had by these £$%*&%'s ,told the loan had been pre-approved only had to confirm some details and sign paper work then loan would be released. No paper work arrived so i phoned them thinking my add they had might be wrong, after speaking to someone they did have wrong postcode so i had her correct it and was told paperwork would be sent out.Still no Ipaperwork so rang again and asked only to be told they had my add wrong again ,at this moment i flipped and told the guy what i thought about the company he works for.I was then told i was unsuccesfull applying for 5,000 but they could do 3,000 and i was to ring a number for the finance gateway system,at this point i knew i had been stiched up and put the phone down feeling 70 pound lighter knowing i had just learnt a valuable lesson for the future. Can people like us not complain to the BBC watch dog or somewhere ?:money:
I paid the £70 on my credit card could i reclaim back from my card company ?0 -
If you have been unfortunate enough to have been caught out by Matt's excellent sales pitch, maybe the content of the email that I have submitted below will enable you to compose your own request for re-embursement; "we can only but try!" Only submitted to Magic Finance today - will keep you posted.
Dear Customer Service Team,
Several attempts to contact your customer service department via telephone have been exhausted.
I write to dispute the financial transaction called for by Enhance Financial for £69.99 on 02/06/2010, which I feel is tantamount to being sold my misdemeanour and money taken prematurely before any service was provided (and ultimately no service is provided) as stipulated by your company.
I informed you that the disbursement of £69.99 would subsequently leave me with hardship should the contract you were offering - which stipulated £6,000.00 over a 60 month agreement at £149.99 per month be amended / withdrawn.
I informed your advisor that I was conversant with other financial solutions and that any other offer would be unacceptable.
I was assured by your advisor that the specific offer as stipulated above would be completed upon receiving/returning the necessary paperwork which he would arrange immediately; furthermore, your advisor instructed me to hold on the telephone line whilst he clarified the offer with the underwriters of Everyday Loans, I had no reason to disbelieve that ultimately no such offer by Everyday loans was agreed.
Several companies have contacted me with a view to consolidating debt, debt management, or ridiculous offers of a loan at exorbitant interest rates.
I therefore request that £69.99 be returned to my account with immediate effect. This is in line with legislation as stipulated below
Crown Copyright 2008:
Consumer Credit Act 1974 -Section 155 Right to recover Brokerage Fees:
Refund of brokerage fees:
1.17
Where section 115 applies, the consumer is entitled to a refund (less £5) once six months have elapsed following a relevant introduction, if no agreement has been entered into as a result of that introduction.
1.18
for these purposes it is immaterial why there has been no agreement. For example, the broker may have found a deal but this was unsuitable or no longer met the consumers requirements. Or the consumer may have simply changed his mind. If the consumer decides not to proceed, for any reason, he will be entitled to a refund (less £5) under section 155.
1.19
If the consumer enters into a credit agreement within the six month period, but this was not as a result of the broker's introduction, (section 155) would still apply and the consumer would be entitled to a refund.
(Payment to be made to applicant at the adress below:)0 -
Looks fine to me, but I would still advise posting it recorded delivery.
I can hit the Delete key in a nano second, so can they. Send it recorded so someone at the other end has to sign for it.0 -
This is a NIGHTMARE!!!!
I have been duped and conned by Loan Options UK. £35 broker fee etc etc. Agreement signed, money promised. NO MONEY!!
I have now reported them to ombudsman. Magic Finance are also a shower of crooks.
They came on all nice and accommodating. When I told them however that I had been scammed by another broker they simply hung up.
There must be literally thousands of these bloodsuckers, preying on vulnerable families. They are simply despicable parasites. I'm going to forget the lot of them and try to regain my inner peace which has been shot to blazes. My wife and I will find another way. We always do!0 -

Why do you keep calling on the phone?
How much have these calls cost you?
They have fobbed you off 5 times already, there is no limit to the amount of times they can say "the cheque is in the post".
How many more times does it have to happen before you realise they aren't going to do anything regarding your refund if you phone them?
Get writing and post the letter recorded.0 -
In early June, I applied for a 4k loan over 5 years. I got told i was accepted, and was sent the paper work. After readin the paperwork, I saw that they had wrote '£4000 over a 12 month period'. I called to ask for the correct paper work and they spent more time telling me to 'just sign it. We'll make a note on our system that it was a technical error.' (Sign a legally binding document that states I agree to pay back 4k over a year?! They'd have me over a barrel!!!) I was told I'd be sent the correct forms, but they never got back to me. I eventually got through and then told that it was out of their hands so they put me through to the company that apparently accepted me- Gateway2Finance. I spoke to the people at G2F and, after telling me I had made a mistake going to MF in the first place, they told me that what had been asked by MF was in fact 3k over 5 years. G2F also said that MF had clarified that I was able to produce a guarantor. The lying t%*ts. This was mid July. I got the paperwork sent through for a refund and, eventually, after sheeeaaaattt loads of calls (fortunately, I get free land line calls. And the arrogant mugs called me from the office phone. I saved a butt load on calls, and harassed them up to 20 times a day!!!!! :rotfl:)
I've now threatened them with legal action after they told me I would indefinitely get my refund on 27th September. Still, nothing. I have no intentions of letting these theiving a- holes get away with my money. And in a way, I kinda hope that they don't get back to me. And if they don't get back to me, they will soon learn that, if only they'd just refunded my fee, they wouldn't have been taken to court and sued for 5k. The fact that my sister, and two of my friends, are solicitors and can put me in touch with the right people to help me squeeze as much money out of them for compensation alone leaves me feeling as happy as a pig in !!!!!!, really.0 -

i have been advised to put it in writing, and i did. all well and truly documented, got letters from the company outlining the initial agreement, also their terms and conditions, have every phone bill with every call to them, emails and letters written to them by recorded delivery. given the fact that i have several rather large, rather legal factors on my side, i'd say im in for the refund. and also call costs. and the final step will be to report them as a scam company and continue to let people know that this company is nothing more than a parasite that ought to be disposed of so as to not cause anyone else any hassles.0
