  • Total cowboys.... stay away. Please, please please don't go through what i did. I feel pretty stupid now.

They still have my £69.99, 10 months later and no loan. I realised very quickly they weren't for real and started proceedings for a refund. I've threatened small claims, had citizens advice write me various letters and no joy.

I'm not giving up, purely on priciple. I call them on a weekly basis and get the same ridiculous excuse and a future date for a refund, then the date comes and surprisingly enough there is no refund... call them again and start the same cycle.

I secured a loan from my bank in the end, but take it from me... there is no such thing as a bad credit loan that is fair. If you do get one dont expect to pay anything less than 40% for it... an i'm sure even they are rare.

I just had the pleasure of foning this company about 20 times in the last hour to have fun at their expense via their freephone number...which i believe costs them lol

i went thru one full loan application...then decided to ask for the person who called my sister today that burped & basically took the crap out of her today when she told them that she wanted no loan or any contact from the company....the CSR told her they'd make sure they call tomorrow again & again lol......
thats fine....coz ill be calling them everyday via the freephone number & going thru applications with them each time.

over the last hour...ive been called gay, an A**hole, and many other names...did this macclesfield company never hear of the saying stick n stones....

    well anyways folks.....start costing them money...number is 0800 988 0201

revenge is sweet....go head & wind them up....make up lots of names & annoy them as much as these companies annoy us

And if anyone from Magic Finance cares to read what a crap company they are working for...i look forward to speakin to you over the next few weeks......at your expense MR GREG COX
  • My wife was ripped off by the same company i'm going to try the ferret
  • Hey!!

I also got stung with this, but I did not give them authorisation to tkame money out of my account and to this day I still do not know how they got my info, but I have been fightin them since to get the money back as £70 was taken, any ideas how we can stop companies like this??
  • i had a call from them about an hour ago. alarm bells rang when they asked for a £49.99 handling fee for paperwork. i made an excuse saying that i needed to get my paperwork for proof of income together and told them i would call back thursday giving them my debit card details for the payment.

    then i googled them.....

after reading this thread, i don't think i will be calling back

    thanx guys!!!

  • Hi
We had the same situation , it happened in February. We can not get in touch with them... the same story. Why can not we bring the case for the prosecution or contact the police???!!! There is our email address if you think that we can do something about that. The more of us will go that way the better it will be.

  • I had the same problem with magic finance, where i payed the £69.99 and did not receive the forms. I phoned a few times and couldn't get through, when i did eventually get through to them they seemed very helpful they offered me to re-send the forms, i asked them to resend and had them a few days later, this was back in December and i have now received my loan... sorry some of you had a bad time with them i would personally recommend them
