I just paid my big Asda bill online and they have changed the way you make a payment. Normally straight after i make a payment i receive an email to say its been paid and how much. But this time i havent received anything, now im worried as i paid £739 and have no kind of receipt for it. I did write down a ref number though so at least i have something.

I now have £527 left in my account, payday is monday so will have £686 on monday. The only outgoings i should have November is my upcoming MOT on the 14th and my mobile bill £36 as i went over on my bill again sending too many texts.

So i have decided to take £400 out of the money left in my account and put into my savings.

    Hey all,

I called in sick at work today as i have an awful cold, sore throat but worst of all a throbbing headache. And there nothing i can do but rest as everything for cold and flu says DO NOT TAKE IF PREGNANT! :( I have spent most of the day asleep in between blowing my nose. I feel awful. No doubt work will be slagging me off because i know were busy so they will be short.

I had a huge arguement with my manager on monday, as as soon as i walked through the door he asked me to work next sunday. After i had just covered this sunday for him. I said sorry im so tired lately i need my weekends to rest atm. He went into one saying my work mate cant have a day off now as i wont cover he doesnt think its fair etc etc etc. I went into one then as its his fault not mine as he has let chambermaids drop from 6 a day working to 2 at the weekend. There is normally 3 at weekend but his taken one of the chambermaids to work in the bar instead as there short there too!!! Its not my fault at all. Then he went on the bacially threaten me saying i could cut your hours if i wanted to and change your days of working so you have to work at the weekend. At this point i just went mad at him, but he wouldnt have anything i was saying to him. I just wanted to walk out i hate it there now.:mad::mad::mad:

Yesterday, i had a chat with the wages woman and receptionist, receptionist is my managers cousin. They said dont walk out stick at it, as you only have until march to go until you can go onto SMP, if i walk out they wont have to pay me SMP. Which i know, but i cant believe how he spoke to me. He said he could ask me to go and move all the heay bags of laundry but he wont coz his not like that!!!! What a fricking cheek! I know i have rights and he cant ask me to do that. Has hasnt given me a risk assesment yet or spoke about maternity rights or anything. His made me so stressed which isnt good for me at all.

So when i called in sick today he probably thinks i have done it on purpose because of that arguement and coz we're busy.

    RANT OVER

On a good note, i got my scan date today 7th Dec at 8.30am! :jIm going to have to get up early to prepare as i need to drink one and half pints of water at 7.30am and not wee until after the scan! God knows how i will do that! Luckly the hospital is a 2min walk from my work so i can park there and walk up instead of paying car parks fees!

Also i just won £15 on BB, so withdrew straightaway! :)

That sounds a nightmare at work but I would stick it out for the SMP.

Very exciting about the scan though! Bet it is all very exciting for you at the moment, how have you been feeling apart from the cold?

  • Hi Maria,

What a nightmare you are having at work at the mo, i would definitely stick at it and get SMP. I thought you got SMP from the gov so would get it even if you didn't work, i'm sure thats the case? My sister wasn't in employment when she had my little niece and got maternity pay. Maybe I'm wrong?

You poor thing having the flu, I hope you feel better soon. Shame you don't get sick pay even though you have been there for years.

Well done on the bingo wins, way to go girly!

    Hi Hayley

SMP is what employers pay you and MP is what government pay you.

SMP is only better if you have a good job as you get 90% of your wage for the first certain amount of months then £123 for the rest of the months. But 90% of my wage is about £123 anyway!

So yeah even of i did quit my job i would still get Maternity pay from the government at £123 a week.

We had Essex Police staying at the hotel all week, and they put in a complaint about my someone bullying a chambermaid on monday! Two them heard it all from there rooms they were staying in and complained to my manager, not realising it was actually my manager that was saying it all! They thought it was my supervisor!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Gotta love the Essex Police! My manager didnt say sorry though.

Anyway, i went into work today as felt better but an hour into my work i felt awful again with such a headache. I thought id get my rooms done then go home early, but after a couple of hours i was feeling a little better again so stuck it out.

At least i have 3 days off now as monday is my first mid-wife appointment. I was suppose to go to the hosiptal for a blood test today but as im still feeling ill i think i should leave it until monday after shes been. The doctor said on or around 6th November.

    Hi

Gosh its been ages since i posted here! Ive been so busy and tired from work i havent really been on MSE.

So i thought i better update!

Pregancy is going fine im 10 weeks tomorrow, no morning sickness yet but feel a little sick in the daytime but if i eat a biscuit it the feeling soon goes away. :) I went to have my blood test done at the hosiptal and i was very non MSE as where i work is only a 5 minute walk to the hosiptal but it was rainning so i drove and parked there is cost me £3!!! It was the cheapest you could buy! I was only in there for 5 mins max so i gave my ticket to another lady as i drove out right infront of the camera looking at the car park, i hope they dont fine me!!
I had my first midwife appointment at my house the other day, i cant remember if ive alreday said or not? Anyway, it was all a bit rushed she just filled out alot of forms with me and talked about having the scan for downs syndrome with my 12 week scan. Which had me worrying for days after wondering whether to have the scan or not. But i have decided to have it. So 2 weeks until my 3 month scan!!! Im so excited and scared. I just want to hear that heartbeat!!

My manager still hasnt given me a risk assement yet! His so stressed and moody all the time im shy to approach him and ask him about it. But all the other girls are being lovely and giving me a few lesser rooms than them and helping me with the heavy stuff. Ive done 36 hours this week so thats 11 hours over what my normal working hours are!!!

My dad, brother, 2 men at work are all going on that they want to buy or straight swap my car!!! As they say now i need a 'family' car. No way! I see plenty of mums driving about in 3 door hatchbacks, although the boot is small but i will buy the right size buggy for it. It had its MOT saturday and passed no problems but set me back £45 for the test.

This saturday just gone my neighbour had both his cars stolen in the night!!!! A focus ST and a fiesta ST, aswell as there laptop. The thiefs broke into there house while they were asleep and took there keys. The police came round to see if i heard or saw anything as my room is at the front of the house, i normally do hear one of the blokes start his car as he works early hours of the morning but i heard nothing at all. Poor boys :( Now i worried about my own car!! We are on a main road, i didnt think burgulars would pick this road to break into houses.

Ive been winning a few times on BB, i will have to add up how much. I also had an email to say i have won a liz earle perfume today :) That can go on ebay!
