Hi, just popping by to see how you're doing as last time I lurked you were up to your eyes. Good news on the decluttering, the flylady thing is so good isn't it. A few little bursts of focussed energy can make such a difference.
I too am a hoarder, you just never know when you're going to need something. Not sure why I need my old school books from 1975 but I'll find a use for them one day!

Hi Gill - I popped onto to your diary last night - thanks for all the recipe ideas!

Well IMD I DID go for my run! :j:j:j I only had time for 40 mins but I went faster than usual (even up the steep hill! :A), so I feel grrrrrreat now! :D

I looked out of the bedroom window to make sure the snow had melted, but didn't have my contacts in, so couldn't see the torrents of rain! Nevermind, I really enjoyed it and will go again in the morning - maybe for 6 miles, we'll see...

Today I have a long list that I want to achieve:
    • Firstly, strip all the beds and re-make
    • Do a large pile of ironing - including bedding which I HATE doing
    • Move the beds around in the girl's room, little DD has an extendable bed, that needs extending.
I went to look in on her the other night and her feet were wedged against the bottom of the bed :o I felt awful
    • Do a couple of girly paintings with leftover matchpots for their room to cover up holes in the wall where a shelf fell down :o:o:o
We STILL haven't got round to patching it up, and will probably need to have the room re-plastered. So a cover-up job will have to do for now.
    • Hoover the stairs, landing and bedrooms
    • Find something to make for a very low calories lunch, as we're out tonight and I need to stay within my Nutracheck quota!

If I get all that done, I will be highly delighted!

Moneywise, I need to find the passcode for our joint account. The loan for my car is paid for by OH's business, but goes through our account as it can't be repaid from a business account. This month the payment wasn't paid due to insufficient funds. I don't know what went wrong there, so need to investigate.....

Have a good day if you're reading :)

Ooops, this has all gone a bit scew-if, but can't be bothered doing it again!

      [*][STRIKE]Firstly, strip all the beds[/STRIKE] and re-make - washer currently won't drain - really hope that's not terminal :o
[*]Do a large pile of ironing - including bedding which I HATE doing
[*][STRIKE]Move the beds around in the girl's room[/STRIKE], little DD has an extendable bed, that needs extending. Still looking for the Allan key to extend the bed
I went to look in on her the other night and her feet were wedged against the bottom of the bed :o I felt awful
[*]Do a couple of girly paintings with leftover matchpots for their room to cover up holes in the wall where a shelf fell down :o:o:o Matchpots and brushes found - I also might give the doll's house a touch up :D
We STILL haven't got round to patching it up, and will probably need to have the room re-plastered. So a cover-up job will have to do for now. So far have moved a High School Musical poster over the offending wall, so that might have to do short term
[*]Hoover the stairs, landing and bedrooms
[*]Find something to make for a very low calories lunch, as we're out tonight and I need to stay within my Nutracheck quota! Eaten a banana :A
I've also done the kitchen, unloaded and re-stacked the dishwasher and folded some towels. I found 2 bedside lamps for the girl's room, cleaned them added a new fuse to one and bulb to the other. They need new shades, so will try and pick some up later. Right back to it.....

Probably either a tiny sock or a bra wire stuck in it, that's the usual cause especially if its making all the right noises.

Thanks Gill, but I think it might be worse than that....

It was full of towels and half full of water, so I tried to put it on "drain" - nothing. So I tried "spin" - still no joy. So I put it on a full wash to see if that would kick start it - but no.

I took the 10 ton of wet towels out and drained it from the bottom, flooding the floor in the process. There's nothing stuck there, so think I'll need to get a man in.

It is 8 years old and has never let us down so far, so don't know if it's the end or if it can be repaired. Money,money,money..........:(

The washer is working!!! :j:j:j I'm so happy I don't have to pay to get it fixed - or buy a new one! Yaaaaayy!!! :money::money::money:

I put it on a hot wash without a load and it emptied, so I put in some sheets and it's all fine again. Think I must have overloaded it with the towels :o

The house feels much straighter and it's made me feel great too. The girls' bedroom looks lovely, all neat and tidy (don't know how long that will last though )
I'm going to repair and repaint the doll's house tomorrow and hang some pictures, then it will be done.

We're off to a quiz tonight in aid of the school. It will be a laugh and includes a pie'n'pea supper - plus the drinks are very cheap (though I'm debating whether to drive to save £££'s and lbs).

Sounds like a very productive day - a run, sorting out the house, and an evening out to cap it all.....you've certainly earned it, so enjoy!!
