    Thanks BOB!
Yes I did a little "heheheheh" to myself, nice to get something for nothing from the big corporations ;)

Sold another 2 things on Amazon :T One was the big sale that fell through 2 weeks ago. I had to post it Special Delivery - £6.75!!!
But I still should pull a £65 profit from that :j The other will net me a more down to Earth £1.20, but still not to be sniffed at.

Paid £200 off my Nationwide CC, so will alter my sig when that clears.

Off to bath the kids, then pour a cheeky glass or 2! Have a nice evening if you're reading :)

Just got back from the school run/Post Office/shopping etc

Bought the phone from Argos with Nectar points and still had £52 left :j
So, as I'm in a "Get things done" mood, I decided to replace the wooden blind we have in the bathroom. It has been broken for months and is a bit of an eyesore. I bought the new one from Homebase for £44.99 (or FREE with Nectar points - I like this kind of shopping!).

Then on to Sainsburys to buy bread, milk and fruit. Of course, then I remembered we needed loo rolls and coffee, so spent more than I intended (no self control )

When I got to the till, the lady said I still has £52 worth of Nectar points! I was honest and said I don't think so, as I've just spent them. She said not - so I got the shopping for free too! :j:j:j:j:j Perhaps my luck is changing....

Right, off to crack on with the other jobs!

You go girl! About time Lady Luck was on your side!! :T I'm with you on the guilt trip. I'm not always physically there with dd's. However whenever I am with them I never stop telling them how much I love them. Hope your luck continues.

  • Brilliant news on Nectar points and your Amazon sale - things are looking up :j

I would join you in a glass of vino but this morning made me realise how nice it is to be clear headed so I may pass this time ;)

    Thanks Yummymommy :)
BTW what's going on with the £10k thread? I popped on last night and it's carnage over there!
I could never keep up with the speed of it anyway, but now it's split into 2 or 3.....forget it! I am still using the monthly targets though and should reach this month's of £156, without touching my £100. Hope you're doing well ;)

Yep, I'm with you on the wine IMD. I'm not really a big drinker, but after this week I needed it (or thought I did). I'm totally off the wagon with the diet too :(
When I need to comfort myself, I reach for the biscuit tin - not good.
I somehow need to start thinking "I'm stressed/fed up - I'll go for a run!" Doesn't have quite the same appeal does it? :rotfl:

I got up this morning to go, then I heard the kids go into DH (he was asleep) and him getting cross with them, so I decided to leave it....
He's having a hard time with his business partner at the minute and is kind of tired of life. *sigh*

Right, today I will be Flylady Extrodinaire! Off to have a quick mooch, then will shut the laptop down for the day. Seeya :hello:

Been having a bit of a 'lurk' and trying to catch up.

Sorry you've been feeling bleurgg and things not going right. Maybe you should try the exercise rather than the choccie route, especially if you're doing the £20 challenge.

As an ex working mum, I can really sympathise with the school gate thing, I used to hate the 'designer track suit brigade' who stood around gabbing and stopped me running for the train! My son's dearest wish was to go home for dinner. When he misbehaved in the playground one lunchtime the punishment was - he had to go home at lunchtimes  for a week!!:rotfl:
I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. I was punished more than he was, as had to dash home from work, pick him up, feed him, sit around for an hour, take him back and then dash back to work, and then work late to make up the time which meant had to pay the child minder extra!
He's now 22 and I don't think it did him any harm.

    Hi Gill - hope you're ok? :)

Your story made me laugh! A friend and I have the same gripes when we're constantly asked to help in school, bake for coffee afternoons etc. A few months ago I booked the afternoon off work to go to a coffee afternoon  What a waste of time, DD wasn't even there! :D

Yep, exercise rather than choc is the preferred route, but this week it's Running 1 / Chocolate 5! :o

I've been busy running round the house today though, so must have burnt a few cals there and have my kit ready for a 5 mile run in the morning, so back on track :A

    Good Morning!

Got up at 6.45am, got into my running gear - feeling positive, looked out of the window and there is thick frost/ice everywhere  After my fall last week I decided to leave the run. I need to get some trial shoes....

So I will do my big basket of ironing instead. :A (I know, excuses, excuses :o, I might go this evening)

I managed an NSD yesterday and won 85p on scratchies this morning. I then bought another scratch for a £1 and won £2 :j - not a fortune - but it all helps!

I'm with you on the running - if there is a risk of a fall, then you have to wonder whether it is worth taking that risk, and the answer is generally NO!

So, kettle's on if you want a cuppa to celebrate your scratchcard fortunes :T

Oh yes please, coffee - milk no sugar thanks ;)

Lots planned for today. The DD's are going to my parents this morning, so DH and I can tackle the attic - well one side of it at least. We are turning it into a dressing room for the kids (it still sounds mental doesn't it?!:rotfl:).

Anyway, I have to try and get him to get rid of things, but it will not be easy. He is very sentimental (he's an artist - *roll eyes*), so likes to keep everything ie: every magazine he's ever bought  He once found a tiny Buzz Lightyear toy in the street that had been crushed by a car and brought it home because he "felt sorry for it".
He's also very messy - so not a great combo when trying to declutter. It will be a task and a half, not to mention a battle, as I am very gung-ho when chucking stuff!

We're then off to Ikea to buy some cheap furniture. I know Ebay might be cheaper, but I want them to match, and we can afford it out of the household budget. I do feel guilty spending, but this really needs to be done - as the lack of storage is driving me round the bend and won't be resolved otherwise.

U-Oh, the girls are up - Moment of peace over.....have a good day and
    Good Luck Andy Murray! :T
