It seems like the temperature has risen this evening - 3.5oC in the car on the way home :j
Just got in to an empty house, so I don't feel guilty nipping on here for a bit. Though I do feel guilty about the 2 chocolate mini rolls and caramel wafer I've just eaten:o:o:o:o
It's not been a good day. A colleague, who I also consider a friend, blew up at me today and bit my head off in front of the whole department. It was totally out of order, plus I am her boss.
I bit my tongue and waited for an apology which never came. I am more disappointed than anything, but hey-ho. Can't wait for Monday.
The end of the working week for me - at work at least  Didn't manage an NSD either - £1.70 spent. Ah well, DH's birthday, so will have some cake (while watching My Big Fat Diet CLub :rotfl:) and get back on the wagon tomorrow.0 -
Sorry that it has not been such a good day.....tuck into the cake, though, and forget your woes for a minute or two!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

I'm helping the cause too by eating a bowlful of banoffee pie......part of a meal deal thingy at tesco, so in effect FREE!!!! Therefore very MSE, and because it was FREE it has no calories, obviously :TSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. That's the thing. Since I was promoted, I have gone out of my way to not make it an issue - I don't go Lording it over anyone. I've worked for enough power crazed managers myself
Throwing my weight around is not my style - not with her anyway.
I will have a quiet word on Monday, then it will be over. She got away with it this time - but she won't do it again :cool:0 -

My sister and I always used to say "If you eat it all in one go - you don't get fat".
Hmmm, problem is, I carried on kidding myself about that one and she obviously hasn't, as she'd uber slim
Today I plan to start a 2 week detox, cutting out diary, wheat, sugar, alcohol and caffeine  It's only for 2 weeks, so I can hack that.
Felt very low last night, but better this morning. Day off (to do housework and entertain little DD), so planning a busy day, blitzing the house, generally sorting my life out and may visit a friend and her little boy.
Had to deposit £10 to play St-Miniver scratchie today, so will withdraw that later in the week, 35p won.
All current Ebay listings finish today, so might see some sales there.
Plus I have loads to list on Sunday - FREE LISTING DAY and plenty to stick on Amazon / Green Metropolis.
Think that's it. other than phone the mortgage company to check why my payments haven't increased this month.
Have a good day y'all0 -
Have a good day, and good luck with the detox! I did something similar before Christmas (to get into my LBD) and it was hard, but worth it......sadly, all my good work was undone fairly quickly as I then went on holiday, followed by Christmas, followed by general fat lardy greed :rolleyes:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Hi MacGirl - enjoy your day - I had a similar day yesterday visiting an old friend and her little girl. Good luck with the detox - I haven't had any alcohol since 2 Jan and its actually getting easier now because I don't want to cave in (despite the fact that there are 7 bottles of wine winking at me from my wine rack
) I am also trying to cut back on the carp too, but don't seem to be losing any weight - (I never do when I start running - must be all that muscle I'm laying down!)

I've had no alcohol since 31st December :j:j:j Don't think I could hack a detox, so hats off to you! The no alcohol is fine as I don't drink a lot, trying to see if I can go on until the marathon.
Glad you are feeling better this morning, have a good day.
Miss O - I weighed myself this morning and have lost weight but my super duper scales are telling me that I have less body fat and more muscle so all is good1st debt - Next [STRIKE]£583.32[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£408.71 [/STRIKE] £0 :j
