I did have a fab time last night, thanks Miemie and Hypno :D
My hangover has not been the worst, but I do feel very rough today - especially as I had to attend a kids party - a DISCO  this afternoon.....not good.

Just updated my sig. The numbers are moving far too slowly for my liking. Christmas has got me into the spending habit again and I feel like I'm on a slippery slope. I'm £57 off my (self-imposed) overdraft limit and I don't get paid for another 2 weeks :o

Tomorrow I must must MUST find at least 5 things to put on Ebay and sign OH up to bingo (I really miss playing and have had to stop myself wagering the odd fiver :o)

I've only got a couple more presents to buy, but Mum's party will wipe me out...Ah well I will be debtfree in the New Year!!!

Hi ya! Hope your suffering from a good night out has ended!

Did you know it's free listing on ebay this weekend? Just thought it'd be handy if you're ebaying the one hit wonder leggings ;)
One step at a time ;)

    Thanks for that Hopeful :T
I haven't actually sorted anything for Ebay and am in 2 minds about the leggings :o
We've going to some friends for NYE and I thought I might get dolled up and wear them then...

Best news of the day is that the tumble dryer has arrived - hurray!! :j
    ***MOAN ALERT***
However, as I had yesterday as a "day off" it meant that the house looked a complete MESS when they arrived :o:o:o
The hall was full of washing, the dining room was full of ironing, the living room was a state from cutting and sticking and other messy activities
    - yet it was all immaculate when I left on Friday evening
OH was fixing the shower, so the water was off and I couldn't run the dishwasher or washer - arggghhhh!!!

This afternoon we went to a children's Christmas Party, so arrived home to a messy house once again. It's starting to get me down.
I just cannot get my act together and keep on top of everything.
Although the downstairs can be made presentable (apart from the fixed wheel bike DH has in the dining room ) there are so many unfinished DIY jobs, that I avoid inviting people over.

If I could have a few days at home alone, I could sort it, but that's not going to happen any time soon....

We need to move as we've outgrown this house, but we need new windows blah blah - it's so boring sorry. I just need to offload. I know it is nothing in the grand scheme of things and I'll be ok tomorrow :)

I just read your thread and thought the same.
But no - my house is smaller and I'm not nearly as good at debt-busting as you are! :A

I didn't even go for a run. Still felt rough until this afternoon, I didn't even drink much, I'm such a lightweight!

    Maybe tomorrow :rotfl:

Since my whinge, I'm pleased to report having kicked myself up the backside I have done the following :
    • Done most of the ironing
    • Found and photographed 5 items and listed on Ebay :j
    • Tidied bedroom and put away all ironed clothes (and those lurking around the floor :o)
    • Cleaned kitchen and living room (with help from Mr Wonderful :A)
    • Given myself a talking to regarding the debt. I have to accept that it's not going to get any easier until January, as this party is going to cost at least £200 (our share).
But 2010 WILL be the year (if I say it enough - it might come true )

Just checked my Nationwide CC and the balances have been transferred from EGG and Virgin (though fees were £170  it still will be cheaper in the long run), so hopefully I can get the overdraft shifted to 1.9% later this week. That will feel like a job well done. Or it will when it is paid off.
Praying for a lottery win ;)

I must be careful what I wish for because little DD is ill today, so I'm off work with her. She would usually go to my Mum's (as she's not at death's door - she's currently dancing to Cbeebies ), but my parents are still away.

Although looking after her is much harder than working, I'm secretly pleased that I'm at home and can get lots of jobs done :j (is that a bit sad?)

Anyway, will try and log on to EGG today and then transfer my overdraft to Virgin.
    Off to do scratchies....

10ps from the Scartchies, but better than nothing, fingers crossed I get some Ejoy from Ebay. I'll hunt out a few more things today.

Just been on EGG and paid £25.35 to clear the account. They are offering 0% interest until Jan 2011 - with 3% fee and they pay into overdraft accounts :j
So that's is where my overdraft will be winging it's way to today - whoopee!

(Don't know why I'm so excited, it's not like they are paying it off - but it wipes out 18.9% interest, so I'm very pleased about that, as that is my highest one :))
  • Hello Miss Productive :)

I have been doing the CC move - it's hard isn't it when you get the fees and know it's worth it but then it adds to the debt - blah de blah! Have just moved money from Egg so fingers crossed they come up with a nice 0% offer for me as well - xmas spirit and all that!

Sorry to hear that DD isn't well but not bad thing to think that it gives you some time to get sorted out! I am working at home tomorrow and intend to compeltely blitz the house and have a long run in the afternoon and really looking forward to it :)

    Have a good day x
