Sounds a very productive day, a sports day party sounds a fantastic idea as well. We are having a joint party for our two and another friend and should keep the cost down, she has kindly offered to do the party bags and I will bake - fair swap :)

    Have a good day

The window man has just been to measure up. Luckily they have held the price from last year, so it was miles cheaper than the other 2 quotes I got :money:
I need to get a stone lintel checked as it came up in the survey - 7 years ago - to be changed as there is a small hairline crack. He said don't bother it looks fine, but I'll get my Dad to take a look (he will most probably say the same - but a stitch in time...)

Off to Poundland now to get the stuff for the party tomorrow, then this afternoon I'll be baking cupcakes, whilst wrestling with the girls about who stirs what and when and for how long

My OH bought me an ace cupcake book with some fantastic ideas to decorate, I can't wait for the kids party to experiment.

The party was a huge success, the fab weather was the icing on the cake. Talking of which.....glitter, edible stars etc etc added to the Spendathon that was DD's party _pale_
I was finishing off the cakes at 6am - with a raging hangover, so I really would love a lie down now!

However, we're are on our way to meet friends for tea - thankfully it's the early bird menu, so shouldn't be too expensive. After that we will have to curb the spending as it's making me feel a bit sick.

Hope everyone's out enjoying the Sunshine :)

I had a nice surprise yesterday - a cheque from the Premium Bonds :j

I held my breath as I turned over the letter to reveal the amount - it felt like I'd won a Golden Ticket :rotfl: But no - £25 only. Not the jackpot, but nice none the less!

Due to the night out and busy day, I was in bed asleep at 9pm last night, so woke early and as there were still revellers outside "celebrating" the England game - plus it's almost light - hence, I'm wide awake.

Glad the party was a success and the sun definitely came out for you. We were at a wedding and it was brilliant being able to sit outside.

Hope you have a more relaxing day today x
