Good luck with the valuations and the ongoing house/mortgage number crunching.

I hope all goes well with the funeral. ((Hugs))

Hello, just got home. It's been quite an exhausting day. I was up late last night blitzing the house, then in the end I was just shoving stuff in any available orafice!

The valuations went well. The first one said we'd achieved a high-spec finish! I was amazed, I thought we would need redecorate everywhere, but he said not. So we just need to do the windows.
It was also valued for sale and was about what I'd originally thought, plus a bit more which was reassuring.

The IFA is coming round next week, so that will be good. Sadly, the EA haven't yet rang to say they will accept the offer :( Don't know whether to ring them next week or the week after to let them know our offer is on the table, or just leave it......

Anyway, my auntie's funeral was as funerals are. There were some loving speeches made, then the burial, which are always more traumatic than cremations, I find.
It was eased by the sunny day and the beautiful spot for her final resting place, on a hill with glorious views overlooking the valley. So sad though for my cousins and Uncle, they'd been so happily married for 50 years :( A reminder that it's all temporary and this house stuff is just that.

    Hope everyone's had a good day x

Thanks. I would love to have an early night, but I have washing to do - I kind of forgot to keep up with the washing during my decluttering mission.
Then packing, as we're off to Center Parcs tomorrow morning and I cannot wait! :j :D

Have a great time in Center Parcs just what you need a complete braek away from houses and all that go with them/

    Enjoy

DH has kindly said he will wait for the washing to finish and stick another load in, so I'm off to bed. Will pack in the morning, I'm totally jiggered. Night all x

Hello, back after a lovely weekend. It was just what the Doctor ordered, no phones or computers (though I was getting internet withdrawal symptoms :o) just cycling, swimming and general family fun!
Tried to be MSE too and ate in every night :A

Nothing to report cashwise or housewise. I did get quietly hysterical on Saturday when I noticed a missed call and message from the estate agents :j, but it was just some numpty chasing for feedback on the second viewing :wall: (Don't they know we put in an offer?!) Still trying to be optimistic/realistic that the vendors will buckle and agree to our offer, but it's looking increasingly doubtful.

The IFA is coming round tomorrow night, so if he is positive about the figures I may return the call to the EA, just to check the status and remind them that our offer is still on the table.....

Back to work tomorrow :( Hope everyone reading is ok :)
