Too much!!! I don't iron undies, rarely iron PJs (unless feeling frivolous!!) and don't iron bedding other than the pillow cases. I do iron tea towels to kill off any remaining germs, same with hankies. I don't iron towels. I iron other stuff if it looks like it needs it so most trousers, work shirts, some t-shirts and other things, it all depends. Wish I didn't have to though!!! Sometimes hubby irons.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member #398 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :T

No point in here cos the kids mess it all up anyway, getting the t shirt at the bottom of the pile:mad::heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -
I iron everything, except towels, wash cloths etc. The kids fold them for me. I did try to give up ironing stuff and just folding stuff out of the drier and putting it away but it niggled me.“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. Shirt, smart trousers and skirts and any tops which are so creased they won't drop out with hanging/folding. I would love freshly ironed bedding but i'm tiny and we have a king sized bed so it's not going to happen really is it!Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it!'0

Mr LW does the ironing in our house, and even then, as little as possible. He irons sufficient shirts and trousers for work (he works in a "smart-casual dress" office - shirts and chinos are the norm), he irons the hankies, and if one of my cotton skirts, tops or sarongs is badly creased, he does it for me, but that's it.
No bedlinen, towels or underwear, no t-shirts or anything that comes in uncreased - we hang it up carefully, and usually it's all fine. And we don't have a use for sleepwear.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I only iron my work clothes (smart casual whatever that is) and my sons uniform. Nowt else cos lifes too short....even though I did get one of those steam jobbies from Bzzagent!!
:AInfamy! Infamy! They've all got it in for me!

I don't iron anything at all :T:j, as others have said i am very carefull while hanging things on the line and getting them in, it all goes straight away too. I don't even own an ironing board, chucked it out when it got broken, and never replaced it.
The only time my iron gets used, is when OH takes it to work, to iron on the plastic strip bits on the kitchen counters when fitting a kitchen0 -
I think I've got an iron.
I'm sure I have.
If you asked me where it was...I'd need to get back to you!
:rotfl: - mine is at the BACK of the bottom kitchen cupboard - so that tells you how much ironing I get through.
As a child, ironing was one of my 'little jobs' - I lived with my darling grandmother who couldn't stand for a long time, so I used to do it for her. - originally with a flat iron  (mid 50's and aged about 7). Then we got an electrical iron that used to plug into the ceiling light. As a teen, again ironing was MY job (school uniforms for siblings and myself). While bringing up my three children, I ironed constantly - shirts/blouses etc. Now they're all grown up and fled the coop, it's my excuse NOT to iron :j:j!

I used to iron blouses, suits etc when I was working but not much else; I've never ironed bedlinen, towels, tea towels. I don't iron anything at all since I retired because I always wear casual.
I gave my very expensive steam iron to my ds when he moved into his own house a few years ago but I've since bought a small steam iron (mrT value) which is fine for pressing seams etc when I'm sewing.... don't throw the string away. You always need string!
