I iron very little because we tend to only wear 'casual wear' which line drys well. However, during the winter I guess I will iron more (or hubby will, I am hoping my bump will be too big to reach the ironing board).:jMummy to 2 small 4 year old bundles of mischief!:j0

i iron a shirt in the morning, never iron anything else.
occasionally iron trousers if they are really creased but usually dry reasonably.
oh, i was told by 'her' to iron the sofa cushion covers as the creases 'dont look good for company'.Target Savings by end 2009: 20,000

I iron nothing at all.My OH uses the iron for uniform shirts and his karate stuff and my son will iron karate stuff.
DD will very occasionally do some.
The last ironing I did was funeral clothes.
I used to do the school uniforms long ago when the kids were at infants school.0 -
I have to admit that I like some of my clothes ironed:D and I dont mind doing it(within reason) I dont iron towels, teatowels and duvet covers but I do like an ironed pillowcase.I dont iron undies.
I try and lessen the ironing by hanging things up on coathangers to dry and fold things well.
My Mum usually has a fit at the fact I dont iron every single thing:rolleyes::D like she does but I dont care as long as I dont look crumpled.
I am always suprised at how people get away with ironing nothing but each to his own as they say:DDo what you love :happyhear0 -

Hang them well and buy things that aren't likely to need it....steam the odd shirt vertically is all.

I don't iron at all these days. My ironing board got damaged when I moved in January and it's never seemed worth the expense of replacing it: I've got very few clothes that really need ironing, and hanging them up in the bathroom while I'm having a shower seems to work just as well. (All right, and laziness comes into it, too!

How much ironing do I do? If we are talking clothes then none.
Ever.
I hang the washing out carefully and fold it as I take it off the line. My friend is obsessed with ironing and spends ages ironing everything - she says she finds it relaxing. I think it would drive me insane - I don't have the patience to stand there ironing 3 loads of washing a day!
We do own an iron ( thanks to Freecycle) and my DD uses it for sticking together those little plastic bead things - are they Hamma Beads? - and for some crafts.0 -
Never. Can't remember when I last had the iron out. Ditched the ironing board earlier this year as it was just taking up space. Kept the iron just in case I need to do do some wunderwebbing.
The secret is to be very strict with yourself (the only time I am:rotfl: ) when bringing in from the line or using TD, lay flat if possible, quick smooth and hang or fold immediately, no dumping in a heap in a basket to get creased again (all ironing baskets should be banned). Things like T-shirts and undies will usually drop their creases with body warmth alone, either that or they are creased anyway by the time you get downstairs.
I served my apprenticeship many years ago doing a three or four hour stint on a Sunday 'cos ex wore a clean shirt everyday at work and changed into another in the evening.
I wish I could make people realise how liberating it is. Nearly as good as burning your bra.:rotfl:Woofles you need to get out of that house. You are going insane:eek: - colinw
