    Hi all,

    Bargainbird,thinking of you all today.
    Hugs to Cranky and George.

NPM- had to laugh at you doing 'stinky fish' so early. If theres one thing I cant abide doing-its draining tuna,I always get DS2 to do it :rotfl:

Been trawling round the charity shops this morning with DS1,looking for something for Halloween, both sons are going to a Halloween do at the pub.Anyway after much huffing and puffing he got a suit that he's going to rip,and cover in mud. They've already got some 'bloodshot eyeball' contactlenses, which freaked me out when I saw them in ..zombies are coming,ha ha.

Easy tea today as I cooked the beef casserole on Tuesday, put half in the fridge and froze half.

Well, off to do some sewing now.Hope everyones day has something nice in it.x

    Afternoon all,

Just been up the beach with little dog for an hour or so, it was like a summers day, familys with picnic's, little ones in the sea in their swimming costumes, and one little boy running in and out of the sea in his pants :D:rotfl:, bless him.

Got talking to an older couple who had a dog with its back legs hung in a kind of harness with wheels on, kind of like a wheelchair for dogs, the poor dog got crushed by a lorry 8 years ago, and they were advised to put him down, but they took him home, and his 'dad' made the wheel contraption up, and 8 years later he was still going strong :T, not only that but yesterday the dog caught a pheasant :D, they took it home, and the dog helped pluck it (with his teeth), and they are cooking it for his tea tonight :T, what a lovely couple.

Made 8 jars of green tomato chutney, and picked another 40 chilli's, and 6 peppers, I have had so many chilli's off of those plants, I have enough to keep me going all winter, and I am starting to freeze the peppers now, so should have a good batch of those too, the pepper plants were given to me by a lady at a boot sale, so free food :T

Just waiting for dd to call to say she wants collecting, will then shove the dinner in and have a nice hot bath.

    Have fun all x

  • Evening all

I had a rather productive early hours today. As I'm on Economy7 electric I filled the DW and WM up last night before bed, and put the BM on timer. I woke up round 5am to the smell of yummy bread :rotfl:and put the DW on. Then went back to bed, woke again round 7 and put the WM on, as it's too noisy to put on in middle of night! So all this was done on cheap leccy! :D

Work was quite fun, my young people did orienteering so we spent the day wandering round the country park. Still warm enough to be out in a T shirt :D.

I'm making stirfry for tea, and looking forward to US tv programme Defying Gravity on BBC2 later.

    Have a good evening.

Me again! Very happy because Mum rang us earlier to say that she was back up on the ward and everything had gone well. :j We will go and see her tomorrow (160 mile round trip!) but will take a picnic lunch so that will probably be my OS effort... ;)

Decided to celebrate this evening and have had pizza for dinner - Dad's request, and takeaway at that rather than homemade, in honour of celebrating Mum's op being over! The MSE bit was that the local takeaway does BOGOF, so they cost £6 for two pizzas (and we only ate half of each one, so have leftovers for tomorrow). I was very pleased because he agreed to have ham/pineapple on one and tomato/red onion on the other, and also ate some coleslaw on the side - so that got more veggies into him than I had hoped for!!:p:T

Planning a quiet evening now, watching telly with a glass of wine. ;)

Have a good evening all! :D

    Good evening,

    Bargainbird hope everything went ok.

Hester I'm still angry for him

Piglet, I'm glad your mum is OK

Thank you for your continued support and good wishes. Now don't get excited, but I made myself a meal tonight. My first proper meal since I switched the oven off the night that the police knocked on my door nearly 4 weeks ago. Ok, so most of it was out of packets, but I cooked veg to go with it, and I ate it. Hopefully this bodes well for next week. After the funeral and when ds is back in school I can do some batch cooking for the freezer. I've run out of G's favourite lamb stew, so I'll have to make some of that tomorrow as well.

I took a big step today and met a lady that I've talked to on a forum for young widows. She was lovely, and my son was charmed by her too. It's a comfort to meet people in the same situation as me.

I did the ironing this morning, and upstairs is still tidy. Unfortunately, Asda's 75p broomsticks are not made to be played with by enthusiastic small boys and kittens at the same time, so the same can't be said of downstairs. Still, tomorrow is another day.

Bitsy Mine was awake from 4:45am this morning, and as soon as the kitten hears G's voice, it joins in with the yelling (it is just a noise on 4 legs). I sometimes wonder if I'll ever get a good nights sleep again!

    Take care all of you

Cranky - well done on the cooking for yourself xxx Always thinking of you and George. And as for kitten.......wait til it gets older and decides to sleep practically on your face like my old kitty did. Many a time I'd wake up with a soft little paw pushing on my cheek!
