Circes, can you explain a bit more, sorry? I can't find a tick at the top of the thread - just interested as I have to try and find the last post I read too, although the suggestion of marking each session as favourite at the end does work, your method sounds good too.

Marion, thank you for info on veg currry, I will enjoy that tonight.

Carla, coleslaw depends on what mayo is in it I suppose, so I would err on the side of caution and allow for it to be mega full fat, that would be 11.5 syns per 100g. Maybe you can judge from there (a tub of luxury from the supermarket is usually about 300g). Maybe 5 or 6? Someone else probably knows better but I thought I would try since you asked twice, so it's obviously important to you!!

Has anyone else made the "free on green days" falafels that were featured in the latest magazine? I made them earlier and had them for dinner eith sw chips and salad. They were rank!!!! Maybe being a vege I've been spoiled by lovely deep fried ones? I've got 2/3 of the mixture left so will try again tomorrow, maybe cooked in a frying pan with fry light so I can turn them rather than oven baked as per recipe??

Everytime I've tried SW or WW homemade falafal's they always taste rank!! And they take so long to prepare, that's why I was pleased to see the Cauldron ones were so low syns, at least they have taste to them. I'm veggie too.

  • Hi All,

    Newbie here!!

Following the christmas blow-out decided it was time to dig out the old SW books and try to lose a few pounds.

Anyways I have a bit of a predicament tonight as have been invited out for tea and we are going to the Harvester - I thought that would be great as loads of Salad and if I have a red day could have their Spit Roast Chicken - had a sudden panic last night though after reading some horror stories about those type of chickens being injected with oil and therefore full of syns. Does anyone know if this is the case with the Harvester?

I may have to choose Gammon to be on the safe side I think.

Thanks for such an inspirational thread - good luck everyone!

Ive just realised our consultant didnt give out this weeks password, I remember looking at the beginning to see if it was written down and thinking she will tell us at the end, but she didnt. I still know last weeks and I know theres a 2 week overlap, does that mean it will be ok right up to next Wed? I use the website all the time, and was just signing in to see if Harvester was on it for the last poster and realised. She has only given me her landline number and dont really want to phone her if the old password will do. ta much.

Hi, ive checked online and Harvester comes up but I cant get any product to show. I would think the spit roast chicken will have oil on it to help it go brown and crispy, not sure if its injected with it though. . I would go for a gammon steak and salad or a steak an salad to be on the safe side. Myabe ask for it grilled instead of panfried.

  • Hello, I joined SW nearly 2 weeks ago, after a year or so of feeling very fat but too lazy to diet I finally did it and lost 5lb in my first week, having a pretty good second week too I think (I HOPE!!) so far I am feeling very good about it, pleased to find a thread on here with people whose brains I can pick with questions too because some of it is a little confusing!

Last week I stayed in and hid away with my food, trying to make sure I was on top of everything but this weekend I have 2 meals out planned, which I am a bit worried about, any ideas what I can go for on a normal pub menu?...am doing Extra Easy. Would also be very interested to hear about the Harvester Chicken! x
