i find that i need to have planned my meals in advance, more so dinner as i had a bit of s dlip up on sunday wen i had nthing arranged and threw some ravioli n sauce on, my usual quicky dinner, but turned out to be too many syns for my liking!
i have WI later tonight. not nervous, just anxious. i really hope ive been following the plan correctly!!

me too, mines at 6.00. Im also anxious, as this is my second time at this class, I hope Ive lost. Ive been very good this week and pretty much stuck to plan. when ive synned ive made sure ive counted it that day or the next. Unfortunatly its my 'star' week and I feel bloated.

    Aternoon All,

Sending positive thoughts to those that have weigh in tonight X

I've walked back to school to pick up the kids and back again so another 2 miles done today - my poor body is aching, its not used to moving!!!

Not sure what to do for tea as not had much today, think I might have the old jacket spud standby - nice and warm on such a cold night.

Hi Beachbeth - I am not Coeliac(gluten) but I am wheat-intolerant:rolleyes:! I had tests when I was younger - and I was told from a very young age to avoid wheat. I didn't want to know at the time, so ignored it. Then things got bad, so I paid attention :)(A friend of mine has a Coeliac daughter and the differences between what happens to her and what happens to me if we eat wheat are huge, she becomes EXTREMELY ill) - but I am still FAR healthier not eating anything with wheat in - and if its completely gluten-free so much the better.

Oatibix are a good compromise for me breakfast-wise - or I have ryvita with whatever I fancy on them. Follow either of those with a syn-free yogurt. Or how about porridge?

I understand that you are feeling rough with diahorrea - and I really hope it clears up soon.

Thanks for your help. I don't feel immediately ill after eating things with gluten in but, of course, that doesn't mean Im not sensitive to it. Im definitely sensitive to wheat and from now on am going to avoid it as much as possible.

I like porridge (Ready Brek) but sometimes this makes me feel a bit heavy in the stomach, if you know what I mean? I may try the oatibix and see how that suits me.

Im still waiting for my stool sample result (sorry to talk about this on a food thread:o) and the docs rang today to say the container had been broken in transit and they couldn't therefore analyse it. So I now have got to take another one in and wait for the result again.
As for your breakfast, what about bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes etc if you have the time. It's going to be quite difficult for you if there's so much you either can't have or don't like. Hopefully, they'll find the diarrhoea is the result of an infection (that can be treated easily) rather than your food.

I would love bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes (I like baked beans too.:p Yum!) But I couldn't eat this for breakfast every morning.

I have trouble with red wine because of the added sulphites. It has sulphites in it naturally but they add more as a preservative. Im alright with organic wine as they don't add extra sulphites but I haven't really found a nice red, organic wine. My favourite is Blossom Hill Merlot and I just drink a glass every now and then and hope my stomach doesn't complain the next day!

I can get a bit stomach achey with sausages and always thought it was something to do with the rubbish they're made out of. But Ive read the labels and they all seem to have gluten in them and sulphites as well!!!! It just shows you that they put all sorts of things in your food that you don't necessarily realise! Burgers are the same! From now on Im going to make my own. You all must have been mind-reading because I was wondering what you do to mince to make it into a burger! Thank you all very much!
  • Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum but have food optimised a lot in the past so hopefully have some useful thingsto add to the forum. I have started food optimising again this week after a Christmas blowout of huge proportions. Every time I come back to SW I wonder why I ever eat any other way. You can eat so much and feel so healthy and full of energy. I do need a bit of advice on Hovis 'Best of Both' bread please. Does anyone know how many Syns are in a slice or if you can eat it as a Healthy Extra?

    Hello,

I've managed to avoid the McD's which ex husband bought over for the childrens dinner - that was utter torture as I LOVE fries. Have instead had a jacket spud with baked beans and sweetcorn followed by a Muller Light. The daft thing is that it seems to have awoken my appetite as I'm now hungry!!!

Have had a panic over bread just now, is the HEb from a 400gm loaf or an 800gm one??

    Thanks,

HEb's are always from a 400g loaf as far as I know.

Al, I get the same - I can go all morning without eating if I'm busy or need to get out quickly, but the second I eat, I then need to keep eating! LOL

I haven't been having bread since started SW last week but whats the difference between a slice from 800g or 400g then?

    Hello Ladies

    Had a bad day today
Could not get the car out of the snow so had to walk 45 mins in the snow to get the train. Didnt want to carry loads of stuff so didnt take banana and muller for brekkie as usual and also didnt take lunch. Was starving when I got to work so had 2 peices of wholemeal toast. Then had turkey dinner for lunch (no roasts but had gravy) then had a choccie biccy in the afternoon.

Need to redeem myself for tea! However, no fruit and veg left and impossible to get car the out to get any and there are no shops between the train station and my house.

I have some onken yoghurt and a banana so will have that I expect.

Also not able to get to WI again tonight due to snow, also not able to go last week for same reason. I have no idea where I am!
