  • I did it, I went back to slimming world on Monday! :T

Sooooo pleased I did. The consultant (different group, my last had folded :( she was ever such a good consultant too) was mad as a hatter  REALLY chatty and, well mad! But hugely motivational.Gave me two new ideas for meals:

Warm chicken, bacon & new potato salad. I made the dressing with fat free yog and dijon mustard, mixed it all together and plated it up on top of some reduced letuce found in tescos. Delish!

And one I haven't tried yet - stewing steak in wourcestershire sauce. Apparently its lovely.

So I'm all set! Made a pasta bake last night with a sauce made from onions, basil & baked beans all reduced down until mushy and then passatta added until it was the consistency I wanted. Can't make that too often though as I often end up picking at and eating the whole bake over the course of an evening :o

Lunch today is soup (tinned tomatoes, onion, basil & garlic whizzed together) and probably a mug shot, and dinner is macaroni cheese. Nom nom nom!
Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels
  • Quick question:

If a recipe asks for the juice of 1 lemon and you want to use the jiff stuff, how much would you use?

Well done on going to a new meeting, it takes such a lot of courage to walk through those doors for the first time :T

The meal ideas look fab, thanks for sharing

To substitute for one medium lemon, you can use 2 to 3 tablespoons of the bottled lemon juice.

    Yes, that's right

And if you follow the Extra Easy plan you can add couscous to the mince to make burgers and this would save you using the bread as a B choice or syning it

im starting my week of stir frys tonight. Was going ot start on Monday but it makes sense to start the week with wi as thats the way I work now.

I also said I was going to finish a week of green days but ive now changed my mind and doing a further week of mostly EE so I can have prawn and turkey stir frys. I change my mind far too much lol.

    today is
brekkie - 42g weetabix crunchy bran (these are delicious and I think the heb is so much more worth the heb than 28g of other cereals), milk (part hea, rest will be in tea)

lunch baked potato with quorn curry, side salad (free)
    snack, shape yoghurt and fruit
dinner will be after WI- turkey stir fry with garlic, lime, chilli, ginger and coriander with dried egg noodles (free)
    :santa2::xmastree::santa2:
  • i love stir fry! if i'm in a hurry i just do mange tout, baby sweetcorn, noodles and soy sauce. i might have that tonight coz i think the veg needs eating up.
