    Hi all

Didn't weigh myself this week - I usually go down town after dropping DD2 off at school on a Friday (before I eat anything!) but all the schools were closed yesterday and there were no buses so I was scuppered! Can't get down town first thing at the weekend so it will have to be Monday.

Having said that I'm not expecting much of a result this week. I've been a bit lax and not done as much exercise as I should have. And I know I'm still 'tweaking' a bit as consultant 31 put it - still not measuring milk! I've been reading about extra easy and after Xmas I'm going to give it a go - can you eat all the free stuff freely between meals IYSWIM.

On Xmas day I'm going to wear the same thing as I wore last year (sad woman) - skirt, top and nice safe long cardy - I just don't feel comfortable if I dress up too much - but I have bought myself some new size 16 jeans and tops for Xmas - it feels so good to be a size smaller!

    Hope everybody is doing OK

Well my good intentions went to pot yesterday :( Had lunch at the German Market - hot chocolate with Amaretto & whipped cream you had to dig your way through, Brockwurst & white bread roll with ketchup then as there were no good choices at the LG Arena I had sweet n sour chicken with plain rice & noodles :( Feel like i've worked so hard allweek just to blow several weeks worth of syns :( Definately won't lose weight this week and my SW consultant will fob me off that it was just because of yesterday.

    C xx
  • don't be so hard on yourself catt, it happens to us all. i've eaten a whole box of chocolate fingers for breakfast this morning :( which i blame on me drinking last night and nearly freezing to death after it decided to snow about 6inches when i had small shoes and a dress with no sleeves on!

whereas at Rupe Towers its been mince pies and chocolate snowmen ahoy! Plus very little exercise because of my messed up arm (and scarily icy outside, so a walk is out of the question)

I can't wait until Tuesday when I can relax a bit! I know i'm using Christmas as an excuse, and believe me I don't want to undo all the hard work, but I just feel after Tuesday I can relax a little! Well hope so anyway - just feel on the verge of tears about everything at the mo! Planned to have no syns today but then Mum cooked the roast potato's in oil & I had to have a little bit of gravy on the lamb as it was a bit dry (I don't even like gravy). I've had no HEx's except milk (as I had tea in Caffe Nero when OH wanted a caramel latte).
  • i've got a suspected abcess on my tooth :( it hurts sooo bad and can't get into the dentist until 10 past 4 :( and i've got a busy busy day at work :( not good! but i won't be eating much coz it hurts!
  • i'm thinking of getting a wii and wii fit plus, can anyone recommend it?

Catt - I think that maybe relaxing over christmas will be good for you, there's no point in being miserable. Maybe then the new year will bring a fresh start and you'll feel much better about the whole thing. I know I've said it before but I really think having the right attitude and positive thinking is alot of it and if you're just feeling down then maybe that's why it's not really working for you at the mo. I also had an awful day on sunday, pub lunch (5 bean chili and.....CHIPS!!!) followed by popcorn at the cinema!! Still I'm hoping I have been good enough the rest of the week for something to still come off, and I have until wednesday so we'll see. I don't think I'll manage the whole 3.5lbs, but to be honest I always thought it was a tad ambitious, but then I guess you don't know until you try!!

I haven't eaten anything yet today but am about to tuck into 2 alpen light bars, they're on offer at savers atm, £1 a box, mine only had the choc and orange flavour though. We will be having leftover chicken stew for supper but I haven't thought about lunch yet...
