    Evening

    1. DD was not very well in the night she had a raging toothache, the pleasure is she just wanted cuddles off her mummy. She finally fell asleep cuddled up to me. Took me back several years.
    2. NHS - the denist saw her this morning within an hour of me calling them for an appointment. Antibiotics given and an appointment to follow to have a tooth taken out at the sedation clinic.
    3. Little snooze this afternoon to make up for some of the missing sleep last night
    4. Spent time with DD watching a DVD
    5. HM fish and chips for dinner

Hugs to all who need them

Thanks again for the good wishes and I like the sparkly text, Ampersand! And the sensible advice. :D

    5 or so for today.

    1) Smaller son had a school trip into Brum to watch Horrible Histories on stage and enjoyed that.

    2) I went into town to see my friends (twins) from school. One has babies of 5 months and 18 months and the other is pregnant! So we pretty much talked children and went to a cafe for a sit down. :)

    3) Got a bit upset driving home but my sister came round and had a cup of tea.

    4) Our booking details came through the post for the 3 short courses we are going on during the summer holidays.

    5) Watched a bit of the Murray match. (I presume he lost in the end!)

    6) Got fish and chips and ate them by the Clee Hill.

So felt pretty wretched all day and was composing in my head a letter to MrN to ask him to come back. :( Even his "leaving me" text wasn't very definite so I thought I might be in with a chance.

Then we came home after having our chips and he and his sons were loading his car as they are off all weekend to his oldest son's wedding. Well, goodness knows what he has said to his sons but the death stares they all gave us were terrible. :(

I sort of crept into my house then the more I thought about it, the crosser I got. I looked after all those sons every day after school for 9 months. If they had a day off school (and they are a bit skivey), I looked after them all day too. I gave them lifts, did housework, let the dogs out, got the shopping for them all when I did my shopping. If we were going out somewhere I thought they would like, I would take 1 or 2 of MrN's sons with me. (such as swimming). Sometimes, with my sons, there were so many I would have to borrow MrN's people carrier to get us all there.

Really, I fell over myself to help. And in return, MrN took my sons to school 3 or 4 times. Which was about 5 minutes out of his way on his journey to work.

His sons' behaviour was pretty poor at times and culminated in son5 holding my smaller son in a karate headlock and putting a carving knife to his throat. When my son ran away, son5 chased him then threw the carving knife at him. So my son has had 2 nightmares about being attacked by knives since then. Neither MrN or son5 apologised to him. After that, son5 did the graffiti about smaller son up the back of the village hall. Again, no apology to smaller son or even to me from anyone.

I've got to try and remember the bad bits at the moment. For the last 4 weeks there weren't any good bits. All I had was MrN popping over every few days at about midnight, yawning all over the place, being rather ignorant, refusing to talk about what was going wrong then dumping me by text.

I can read back through this thread and am surprised by the good bits! How much time we used to spend together - all of us having a meal together etc and that just disappeared over the last 2-3 months. Sometimes I wonder if he isn't very well, he has made quite a few very odd decision recently - about finances, work, his ex, all sorts of things.

Sorry I've ranted on yet again. :(

(((Frith))) Why don't you write out or print out the list of why you don't want him around any more and keep it tucked away somewhere out of sight but close to hand just so that you have it available if you start to doubt yourself.

    My five pleasures for Friday:

    1. Listening to the end of a radio play serialisation on iplayer.

    2. Sitting on the grass in the sunshine at lunchtime chatting to a friend.

    3. Getting a postcard from my parents (both in their 80s) who are touring Scotland on holiday and my mum wrote that it was magical that they have been seeing wild flowers that they hadn't seen since childhood because the places they have been visiting have been so much more unpolluted. :D

    4. Listening to the DSs laughing with each other this evening. They are building a website together (and obviously there's lots to amuse them!)

    5. Having a nap this afternoon and waking to find that DS1 had had a good go at cutting the back lawn without being asked. :T

    Sweet dreams

    Evening all,

Frith - chin up... please, please don't send him that letter. Take the high road and walk away with your head held high.

CCP - ouch! hope your hand recovers soon (or now!)

    1) Lovely day in the office... no senior management around, lots of laughter and chatting, but still got a lot of work done. Sadly though, one of the guys who I work with sister was admitted to a hospice yesterday after her skin cancer spread to her brain. I think he needed to talk about it to impartial people and it was nice that we could be there for him.

    2) Send an email to our Australian division to enquire about a role they have over there. So Mhagster... I may be moving in down the road from you soon! I am just so fed up and disillusioned by work. I used to think I had the best job in the world but in the last 6 months it hasreally started to grate on me. The correct procedure for applying for internal jobs is to get permission from your boss to do so... so even though he had send the job spec to all of us I sent him a quick email... and all I got back was a "fine". Glad to see I am so valued that he didn't even bother to call me to discuss it. Bearing in mind that I was Employee of the Year last year out of a department of over 100 people and was shortlisted for the company wide award, one may think that he could have called. oh well... looks like I have made the right decision to seek employment else where! I'm just really scared of the spiders in Oz!

    3) Spent the evening in Brockwell Park in London with two of my brothers, my SIL and DM watching an open air version of Midsummer Nights Dream, which was fabulous. My SIL had packed a lovely picnic so it was a most pleasant way to spend the evening. Pity my drive home through central London was a nightmare! It was absolute chaos, with road closures and people everywhere!

    4) My DB and SIL gave me a massive bag of cat food for my little darling as their little darling refused to eat it... and mine is a glutton.

    5) Expenses were paid today so my bank balance is looking a little more healthy.

Nighty night all... sleepy time for me.

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

Hugs Frith, you're going to have ups and downs, but don't worry, you'll get through it, and bursting into song after 10 months of 'silence' speaks volumes xx We're here to support you no matter what you're feeling xx

    1. Being able to understand that OH is in a strange mood today and not being overly affected by it; this week, rather than feel like he hates me, I'm not good enough, he's being a pain in the wotsits, I just took his slightly strange responses to my texts for what they were: him being a bit pants but not changing his mind about how he feels about me! Woo hoo! What a leap forward! :):):) And he's going to come over after the village fete for dinner with my parents and a sleepover tomorrow :):):) Can't wait ;):)
    2. Realising that I now have beautiful fingernails (courtesy of my calcium tablets for my dodgy leg) and painted them tonight :)
    3. Friend came over for probably far too much wine and painted my toenails for me so they look glamorous too!
    4. Got a reasonable amount of housework done today........not enough, but reasonalbe
    5. DD and I had great cuddles this evening :) ::) :)

Frith - yhere will be times when you are feeling low but please don't send him the letter. You do a fantastic job with you sons and have a great family and friends and we are all here to give you support whenever you need it.

    1. DS2 came home from his trip and gad fantastic time and made us laugh with his stories.

    2. Sorted the freezer out and realised that I have at least a months worth of food in there.

    3. Washing dried on new washing line - last one bent over!

    4. Picked more raspberries on my walk and with some fruit found in the freezer and slightly stale bread I made a summer pudding. It tasted good.

    5. Tidied DS1 room. The house is fairly tidy now eady to start working 4 days a week from Monday instead of 2 days.

Old tractor - love to see a fellow red bush fan - i won't drink anything else. I even took some to south africa when i went there on holiday (talk about coals to NEwcastle!)

    Mine for yesterday

    1. Only spent half my usual mount in supermarket - have really cut my grocery bills lately
    2. Nice stir fry for tea
    3. Went for a drink with the OH before picking up son from rugby - probably didn't cost any more than opening a bottle at home as we drank a lot less!
    4. Nice chat with the neighbours on getting home - we just pass with a wave too often
    5. My 7 day skin care free sample came from Garnier (take care!!)
I wanna be in the room where it happens

    hello from me!
Ladyhawk: you can't dislike spiders any more than I do....and I am here!
    Frith: hang in there!

1.Well after a very early start 3am & watching Mr Murray bow out of Wimbledon :( , so then thought I'm up,so I phoned my niece & had a nice chat with her & was still a reasonable hour for her! Went back to bed and woke up after 9am!

2.We all went out for a very nice lunch which wasn't too costly. Everyone was chatting & laughing & enjoying our food. Good times together!

3.Came home briefly & brought washing in off line. Was a sunny day but with a very cold wind,so washing got dried. That's been everyday bar one this week I've had washing on the line.

4.Did my supermarket shop & bought 3 cast iron pans that were on special in Aldi. One casserole pot, one frying pan & one large saucepan. Gorgeous bright colours & a decent price for what they are. Also got a new 5 drawer storage unit. It was half original Aldi price & in a clearance area! So need to get it built up & then it will be home to my craft stuff & fabric stash! So was more than usual for my shop but .......I'm worth it!

5.Went to see kangaroos in their natural habitat. I still get a thrill seeing them . They live where new houses are being built, so more houses are up since we were last there & I think it's a bit sad that they have less space than before :( However, lovely to see them hopping about and loads of them too!

6.Had a chat with one of my best friends & then my mum.

    RIGHT! HEAD UP, MS R!
    ~PAY CLOSE ATTENTION PLEASE~

I'm in Cambridge Central Library, but intend speaking to you at once, if only to echo what others have already said.

DO NOT SEND ANY LETTER OR UNSOLICITED COMMUNICATION TO MR N.

    JUST DO . . . NOT . . . DO. . . IT.

    PLEASE![WAGS FINGER]

Turn this round Frith. Change your name in what you've written to that of a dear friend or family member. Change Mr N to a.n.other sporadically in and out of that person's Life.

Look at it, Ms R. As any sort of concerned friend, you can see what a one-way situation this is. You see that the person you care about seems to find his/her way back to similar user partners/patterns and YOU KNOW THAT IT'S WRONG. YOU KNOW THAT THIS PERSON YOU CARE ABOUT IS WORTHY OF BETTER THINGS, A BETTER FUTURE, A BETTER LIFE.

But NOW look - that person used to be YOU. Thank Goodness you set yourself free from this loop. You have done this. You can therefore help the person you care about......oh, that's good. Turn around again, Ms R - IT'S YOURSLEF YOU HAVE SET FREE.

Look at that signature for a start:T.
And we are certainly all glad that you have come here to say these things, rather than do them. It's absolutely par for the course - as kittikins, villagelife, ladyhawk, broomstick, ALL WE OF THE OSP SISTERHOOD - know. We hug :Ayou :Afor it.

Right, must press on, might run out of 4 remaining minutes before I post 5 pleasures.
That will be a discipline for me:D.

    1. De-jungled out back yesterday, but left a stand of coquelicots, Ratty notwithstanding. Re-baited. Don't know if he's munched o/n - didn't have time to check because...
    2. em from Argos, promising £10 voucher to 1st 50 customers at re-vamped store today. Also saw in email a techie box thing, which should mean my tv will offer BBC again, in time for tmrw's Final[Rafa, j'espère], reduced from £39.99 to £9.99.
    3. En bref, it has worked! I was ridiculously first, but had Library book, so was perfectly happy in sun, reading and people-watching.
    4. A lovely walk through to here with the gardens looking good and people's natures seem to lift in sweet early morning weather.
    5. Being able to access this here in time to bully Ms R, with the butterfly that flitted as I strimmed yesterday...
and 6[cos I'm moi]the move was done, not too bad.
