    Evening all

    Frith - (((((((((BIG HUGS)))))))))
sparrer - thanks I think DM will need it

    1) NSD
    2) Free sarnies and sausage rolls at work - someone ordered a lunch for twenty and the meeting was cancelled....none of it went to waste :p it's like working with locusts!
    3) My fern that broke off in high winds has sprouted again and is growing at a rate of knots
    4) Lovely sunny day....right up until I left work....luckily I was parked in the underground carpark and it stopped by the time I got home :D
    5) Reading Michael McIntyre :rotfl:
    6) One of my ex employees ringing me up this morning to tell me that he'd heard a rumour that I was going to be asked back to my old position as the client had finally realised that I did a good job
    7) Ringing a friend in the clients office to find out what is going on and being told that even the people who stabbed me in the back are missing me

I really shouldn't be so smug about the last two but I have an overwhelming urge to shout I TOLD YOU THIS WOULD HAPPEN!

Hope you all had a good day. Hugs to those that need them

    3. Just about to start last lot of marking for this year:j
    4. DH made tea!
    5. Lovely long walk with the dog this evening.
    Peaceful thoughts to all. x

    Evening everyone!

Another lovely sunny day :j I spent the day over at a friends - she recently shattered her wrist and had an op to have a plate inserted, and her surgeon said it was like putting a jigsaw together:eek: She is inspirational - just gets on with it and doesn't moan, and stays so positive. She thanked me for my support /ferrying her round etc, whereas it should be me thanking her - she constantly amazes me.

(((Frith))) Good for you! Really proud of you :T:T:T

    Todays pleasures:-
    - Gorgeous sunshine
    - Lovely day, as above
    - Very proud of Frith!
    - Had fun in the 'pound shop' today - both my friend and I are watching the pennies, and enjoy foraging for bargains :D
    - Enjoying the simple things of life today - didn't spend much, spent the day in the company of a dear friend, and sunshine

    Evening :)

My quick five for Wednesday before I operate the usual late night taxi service...

    1. Getting the usual ton of Wednesday club sports kit washed and dried in between showers. It'll have to go out for airing though tomorrow because the whole house (and the piles of clean washing, I am sure) smells of fish after supper

    2. The biggest blobbiest single raindrops that I've seen in ages.

    3. Some great planning and organising for money-earning work for the autumn.

    4. Double checked the freezer and we are not far off emptying it. It's going to get defrosted, dried and left for as long as we can manage without it (or buy a new efficient one... not sure how :))

    5. My knitting (back of cardigan) is looking really lovely now and it's big enough to start keeping my lap warm while I do it. :D

    Sleep well

    Mine for today

    1. Very proud of DS with the way he is coping with the potential huge change in his life - so mature
    2. Playing tennis with DS in garden and then listening to DS and OH argue over every point when they played.
    3. Sitting knitting watching TV - i rarely just sit down and the knitting is a good excuse to do so.
    4. Getting on really well with work colleagues and realising that i didnt want to put in for voluntary redundancy - so it can't be that bad.
    5. OH is on DD picking up duties right now - so i don't have to!
I wanna be in the room where it happens

nuttybabe - I iron napkins too like a nice crisp cloth napkin and we use them for every meal, you're in good company :)

    1. Did a massive Reverbe and found 20p!! :)
    2. The work situation may be sorting itself out slightly, I'll find out tomorrow and am not totally happy about what will be happening but I'm sure it will be better in many ways for me, as there will be marginally less work to do!
    3. Woke up with OH beside me *swoon* :)
    4. A lovely friend picked up DD from school for me as I realised that it would be nigh on impossible to get things done in time, grrr to that, but yay to having a wonderful friend :)
    5. DD and I enjoyed different leftovers for dinner, nomnom

Thanks for all the good wishes. :):o

Here are my 5 or so for today (Weds).

    1) Got up quite early. Well, early by my standards is half an hour before we needed to be in the car!

    2) Boys skipped off to school happily.

    3) Went to the Range (don't know if it is a shop found countrywide or not) and got some new drawing paper and notebooks for the boys.

    4) Had hot chocolate in a cafe with my friend from college. She knew all about the MrN situation. I only cried at one point - when she said her son had asked why I seemed so sad on my birthday. :( That'll be the birthday that MrN refused to acknowledge... Then she cried because I was! We were OK after that though. :)

    5) Had a quiet shop in Sainsburys with no sons. ;)

    6) Popped to dad's to get my mended yard brush.

    7) Went to my best friend's mum's to get my Deed Poll form signed and witnessed by her :T She was very pleased to do it! Only meant to stay for 5 mins but stopped for over an hour. :)

    8) Got back from school, turned Wimbledon on - and there were my mum and brother in the front row on court 2 !!!!!!!!!

    9) Bigger son's T shirt came from Ebay and looks good. (80p)

    10) Did a roast chicken for tea, lots of veggies and Yorkshire puddings. Have enough chicken and veg left to make into a pie for tea tomorrow (with puff pastry) and chicken for sons' sandwiches at school.

    11) All sat in my bed and watched Horrible Histories on iplayer before sons went to bed.

    12) Phoned my good friend from school (have not long got off the phone) and she is absolutely delighted that MrN has gone. :rotfl:And it must be said, I am starting to feel the same way...

    13) After putting the phone down, suddenly felt happier than I have in months and realised I was singing. Which is something we all do in this house (often the 3 of us are all singing a different tune at the same time) but I don't think I've done it in a while. By the time I was putting the recycling in the dustbin outside, I was singing "There Must be an Angel" by the Eurythmics. Goodness knows why as I am alto and don't know any of the words really! Well, the only person who could have heard and is still up is MrN and I don't think we're that bothered about him. ;)

    14) About to go to bed and watch Holby City on iplayer.

    So a pretty good day!

love Miss R. No longer Mrs J. :T
