So far so good.... 15 minutes of the manipulation, smaller son had fits of the giggles. When he's nervous, he sometimes repeats the same word or phrase so he did that. The phrase was rather unfortunate as it was something aimed at his brother... The next 15 minutes he was very calm and didn't say anything (any calmness is unusual).
BUT.... since we got home at 11am, I have NEVER had such terrible behaviour from him. I am nearly crying now. He went to sleep 10 minutes ago :-(
ACEY
I hope he was quieter today?
The CO is obviously having a major effect, even if the short -term one is difficult. If he is still a problem, I suggest you ring the guy up and refer yourselves back urgently.
I have a lot of musclo-skeletal work and sometimes the tension release comes out as giggles, roaring laughter, tears, or rude words (except I usually edit them to single sounds).
Good things
1.I liked the weather today, cool and breezy.
2. Looked at my recent holiday snaps.
3. Had a bit of a laugh at work.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Hi All,
Very quiet uneventful day. Hope I can find 5 pleasures.......
1. Searching for vouchers for our hols next week. Only a few days in Hampshire, but it could seem a very long time if we can't find affordable stuff to do which suits a 14 year old and a 9 year old! Have come up with some interesting ideas including Geocaching and day trip to the Isle of White, but will prob be resorting to a trip into London for the museums as usual.
2. Cleaned out another draw in the kitchen. Found lots of 'lost' stuff.
3. Cleaned the pans with bio washing powder and now they are all hanging up, shining brightly. Makes me happy. :rotfl:
4. Went for a walk around the park with dog, DH, DS2 (Plus bike). Didn't really want to go as feeling bored and grumpy, but had a nice coffee at the newly refurbed 'Arts Centre' and cheered up.
5. About to spend a bit of time doing the 'Rumplestiltskin' thing......... turning straw into gold, by listing some things on EBay. Love my EBay Empire! :rotfl:I'm sure I don't make much money after fees and postage, but it does give me a good reason to de-clutter.
ACEY: I hope you had a quieter day today!
Have a nice eveningHE x

Hello Jexy good to see you posting0 -
home made kfc? please tell me how you make it??!!:D
Of course! It was very simple- Poach chicken (I used drumsticks and thighs) in milk for about 12-15 minutes or until cooked (depends on size)
- While you're doing this, prepare the coating. I toasted a slice of bread, then blitzed it in the zuzzer to make breadcrumbs, then mixed it with flour on a plate and then put some generous shakes of seasoning. I used black pepper, mild chilli powder, onion salt, chicken seasoning and mustard powder.
- Heat a good amount of oil in a pan (enough so that you have about 1cm deep, evenly on the bottom with no "dry" patches)
- Take the chicken out of the milk and coat each of the pieces in the seasoned bread-flour mixture
- Once the oil is hot enough (you can test it by sprinkling a wee bit of flour in it and if it fizzes you know it's hot enough) place your chicken pieces in the pan (sometimes the oil spits out)
- I do the chicken for a minute or two on each side, until the coating has gone nice and brown and crispy.
Hope it works out for you!
Jo
PS Apparently the milk that you poach the chicken in makes an amazing base for cream of chicken soup but I haven't tried it yet!LBM 04/05/10 :T DEBT FREE 30/07/10 :j I made it!CHALLENGES: 0 bought lunches June or JulyAug SoL: 15/21 June NSDs: 11/14 July NSDs 12/11 :j Aug NSDs: 5/12 Savings target: £500/50000 -
Hello, RAS and thanks to everyone who mentioned smaller son! He is better today (as in back to normal) so generally thundering about but not the almost obsessional cycling, running and shouting like yesterday.
5 for today.
1) Our parcels all arrived at once from EBay! Both sons had a 99p T shirt (Dr Who and Superman) and smaller son's Beaver sweatshirt arrived so I can start sewing his badges on. I had ordered a tablecloth too.
2) Went into town to go to the bank. Went round the 2nd hand shops and smaller son found a door alarm for 99p. It was one of those kits for children where you wire up all the circuitry. Well, they played with it for hours! They got one of next door's boys in to test it and their bedroom door is now shut very firmly and, if I go in, I will set it off!
3) When in town, I went up to the station to print our tickets off for our London trip. (It is £6 to get the tickets posted to you but free if you pay on line then go and pick them up). We saw a British Rail train pull in then I moved the car to the steam train part (Severn Valley Railway station) and we sat there to eat our sandwiches. A steam train pulled in there too so went over to have a look. Sons were invited into the cab (if you call it that) and got to stay in there while they moved the train in the station. :-)
4) Stopped in the next town (station is 2 towns away) and fed the ducks.
5) Went swimming with sons and my brother and my brother had mended the boys go-kart so we took it home with us.
6) Had a fairly peaceful evening, my sister phoned and I did the ironing whilst watching the Pet Shop Boys at Glastonbury. Last time I saw them live it was about 1989!0 -

:beer:Well Done Jo!! That awesome news :TMan plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0 -
Of course! It was very simple
Hope it works out for you!
