See the crows have flown from the tree next to the grinding wheel!DundeeDoll wrote: »1) broad bean rice salad for lunch
5 BoPsie could not understand why our bird feeder was being emptied rather quickly. At thirst we thought it was squirrel, grey which are tree rats and should be , but no. Three pigeons were munching. One on a bough and the other two waiting on the deck for fall out. To think we have Raffles. Now if you are inn a similar position and have a cat so kindly donated by the protectors of cats, please be aware, their cats are useless. I am returning ours. Avoid.
4 First test bail of cotton has spun off the giny. What a mess. Now only yesterday BoP piped on and on about software technicians! Well rightly, our giny has a caretaker function that throws a spanner into the wheel at 7 O’clock in the evening, this preventing the full bail of cotton to be spun. Now on our thirst run, we put the bail into the giny and set it off at 11 in the forenoon. At four in the post noon, we stopped the giny. By this time our wanderous giny had created a temporary file of 162 GBytes! Full on!
The software technicians are inn hiding! Victory to the stokers!
Note to readers! Technicians fix things if they are broken, engineers provide solutions! Just so there is no dispute.
3 Cor rite rant this week and we have not been paid yet! On that, as we spent so much inn the apple of big, BoPsie has been reduced to cooking only a bean on crumb this week. Proper food again! Well not really, but the bills are paid again this morning!
2 Nite BoP will be excessing his puppy fat inn the gym, wearing the tutu of pink. Mind you at the mill today, BoP was attired in his pink shirt and pink tie! Then when I get home, I will be tossing off again. Proper pancakes in hot pan tossed and topped with cut oranges, cocoa and lemon juice. Proper food and good for you.
Well some things to shout about there
Tomorrow. We have just enuff pennies to be on the Big Warster Train! BoPsie, who is currently only one win away from the chance of two on the bounce at Scrabble has declared a games night. Game On!
Oh look :heartpuls winter has come early!!!!0 -
1 Deep conditioned my hair and it’s gone naturally curly.:o It's been ages since I've felt that healthy.

4 I popped to the doctors to see them and get a prescription, they weighed me and I’ve lost 2 and half stone - I am over the moon:beer::j that it’s shifting. I still want to lose another stone or 2 to feel healthy.
5 I have a little contract work which will be very handy.
6 Planted out tomatoes, beans, and purple sprouting into the open, sweet peas planted about,:T next thing is to empty out the greenhouse and tidy it up as some unwelcome critters tried/ succeeded in eating a lot of plants.
7. Dinner will be fish and veg, I am on the diet train and enjoying it to be fair it’s become a way of life, it’s taken 3 months to lose so far so I guess it may take a fair while more to shift the last 2 stone, I would be happy to lose just 1 more.:T0 -

Well, a terrible mid-morning but there were pleasures around that bit today.
1) Not too bad a sleep but haven't been sleeping properly recently.
2) Porridge, blueberries and bananas for breakfast.
3) Took brother back to the dentist (he had a wisdom tooth out last week and has been on various different sorts of antibiotics as the bone beneath has an abscess/infection following the extraction).
4) Picked up my new reading glasses.
5) Brother got bigger son's prescription and took my library books back for me when he came out of the dentist.
6) Brother came in for a cup of tea.
Then I went out to say goodbye to him to see Charlotte cat lying on the garden path in a strange way. She has always been very eccentric but we went to have a look and, while we were talking to her and stroking her, she died. :-( After that, we could turn her over and she had been hit by a car - injuries so severe we have no idea how she ever made it back to the garden. She hadn't been there 30 minutes before. So that was grim but my brother took her with him and buried her in the wood.
I had a cup of tea and thought I had better do something with the afternoon.
7) Drove to Hereford and had lunch in my favourite caf!.
8) Went to favourite reclamation yard just outside Hereford and bought what I thought were called stair rods, but turns out are called spindles, for the next bit of house renovation (landing and stairs). At the moment, the landing wall thingy is 1970s swirly Artex so that can be replaced with proper turned wooden posts.
9) Sat with the hens for an hour and watered the courgettes and pumpkins.0 -
MHags - hugs and prayers xxx
Frith -sorry to read about Charlotte, she was a beautiful kitty
1. Sunshine!
2. DD had her first ever proper haircut in a swanky salon, by an award-winning hairdresser no less! He gave us loads of advice on how she should love after her curly hair and I got to chat to him in French, as it turns out it's a 95% French run salon! She looks AMAZING and is feeling really confident and happy with her look.
3. I had my usual cheap haircut at my local walk-in, have a dry cut and pay very little, place and love it nearly as much as DD loves her Afro!
4. We had a beautiful picnic, and only had to buy cheese and *cough* Magnums to round off what I'd brought with us
5. Enjoyed a leisurely stroll around the Ashmolean, looking at the Egyptian exhibits to get me in the mood to teach the topic next week
6. Bought a beautiful vase in a charity shop, I just had to have it. Now for some lovely flowers to fill in!
7. Getting excited for a friend who is going on a first date on Sunday! She's dipping her toe in the waters after being with someone for 15 years....
8. Reading a really great library book, love a detective/murder!
9. Can't wait to spend tomorrow night and Saturday with Chap. His turn to cook, and I'll make bread for our picnic, nomnom.
10. Used my mum's Prime to buy a father's day present of something that for some reason is only available to prime members! There's no need for 2 people in the same household to spend a flipping fortune on membership, so as she will indirectly benefit from the present, I thought it only fair that she order it as well!0 -
Frith - sorry about Charlotte.
Not posted this week as trying to catch up.
1. Worked last Friday and Saturday mornings. Saturday was ok and fairly quiet and chatted with a colleague who I normally see with loads of other people around.
2. Given a lift to station which was great as saved a mile walk along a busy road with a bag after morning at work and in the heat.
3. Good journey to stay with a friend.
Had an enjoyable couple of days. Lots of catching up, wine and food. Met her new boyfriend who is perfect for her.
4. Journey home uneventful and DS2 picked me up from the station. He was recovered from his hangover just!
5. Spoke with DS1 and his girlfriend is doing some work at moment which is good as he can't afford to pay for everything and fo everything in the house with a full time job.
6. Spent time in the garden and been lovely in the late evening with a drink and watching the bats flying around. Having the newish part of the garden certainly helps me feel calmer as I can get away from things.0 -
Friday ( hurrah) afternoon here. Bit blooming chilly!
Work ...boss bought me another coffee...quite chuffed that it had no sugar...it's also the coffee and the milk that are the problem...I know I should just say in a big loud voice I don't like coffee but he's not often in ( business owner rather than the manager I always work with) and he's not saying in a big out loud voice, I'm going for coffees! Anyway...kind thought!
Bought flowers using my Mother's Day vouchers. Still got some left.
Chatted to my neighbour , her husband is very poorly and has been in hospital for a couple of months. He's hopefully getting home next week. She thanked me for the cupcakes I'd left on her doorstep on Mothers Day. Gave her a hug. Her kids are just little , at least mine were a bit older.
Swept up leaves, weeded at the fernery at back door and mulched with the leaves.
Grocery shop, decent price today.
Lunch with DD1 , leftovers brought home , she paid her half.
Relaxing with a dog nearby and a blanket on my knee.
Have a good day0 -
Hey Kittikins
Awesome weight loss PK
Sorry about Charlotte cat Frith, small comfort I know but at least her humans were with her when she passed.
Some recent pleasures,
VIsit from DB and DN, ate outside and used one of Mum's embroidered tablecloths so she was with us too.
Picking salad leaves from the garden.
Herbs are staring to flower, gorgeous. Planted out some grasses, added some rocks and alpines for interest.
Radio listening, Forsyte saga and 50 years of TMS, the Johnson leg over incident remains the most infectious giggle inducer.
Lunch at fav tea shop and then walk along the river Cam.0
