1 We laid in a little, then chanced a weigh in, I haven’t lost any extra this week, but DH has. But my diet kicks up a gear this week so hopefully that will kick start it again. Still another stone and a half to go until I’m happier with my weight.
2 Instead of shopping, we got the house into a slightly better state, hoovered all upstairs, downstairs etc, all bedding changed, washed out on the line etc chores basically.:o
3 Started work on the caravan spring clean prior to its first outing.
4 We had leftovers in a wrap and it was surprisingly delicious for lunch. The rest of the wraps will be used with chicken and salad tonight.
5 Gave the grass its first cut and generally pondered.
6 A few minutes me time, a face pack, deep conditioned hair, and nail polish for hands and toes.0 -
My pleasures for today
1. Almost 9000 steps completed whilst working.
2. Went out to meet dh to watch footie after work.
3. Met up with Sd and her fianc!.
4. Had lovely meal at Greek restaurant.
5. Cup of hot milk before bed.0 -
Saturday pleasures
1. lovely sunny day had a walk round to the local community centre and donated a bike to the local charity that refurbs & sells them for reasonable prices. DS had finally agreed it could go so I wheeled it round there with the chain hanging off and 2 flat tyres but they seemed pleased with it !
2. got a couple of loads of washing done and line dried
3. did 2 laps of the local pond in the afternoon sun & dropped off a few bottles/jars at the bottle bank. Bumped into some of the neighbours on the way round and had a chat. Also saw a lovely bright blue damsel fly.
4. have managed to sort a lot of stuff from the junk room ready for DS's work equipment to be moved out of the hallway.
5. made a nando's piri-piri spatchcock chicken for dinner with salad and ate with DS before he went on night shift0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Woke up with labyrynthitis this morning, kind of knew it was brewing. So it's been a quieter day. Had to cancel a catch up with a friend but will rearrange soon.
Made ( for the first time ) spag Bol in slow cooker. A chicken & veg pie and a chicken curry ...just need to go and sort a space in the freezer.
Massive Storm to start the day and rain has been on for most of the day.
Have a good Sunday0 -
Pleasures for yesterday:
1) A lie in.
2) Porridge for breakfast.
3) Spent a long time talking to the hens and re-setting rat traps.
4) Par baked rolls for lunch (smaller son's new favourite) with lots of fillings.
5) Parents' for air rifle shooting competition. Smaller son had never tried before (something else he mysteriously does left handed) but did really well. I got 28/30 so quietly pleased with that.
6) Chinese takeaway for tea.
7) Watched Casualty.0 -
DFV it all needs to be container grown, currently I have 3 x rosemary, oregano, chives, mint and thyme. I grew Fennel years ago but may well add to list of lemon verbena, dill, sage and tarragon. Also thinking about feverfew and hyssop for medicinal use.
Some pleasures for the weekend,
So much sunshine, my freckles have freckles!
Went to footie with DB, we won and coconuts was resplendent.
Squeezing all 6ft2 of Dnephew in the back of my mini, getting in was one thing, getting out another.
Bacon and eggs this morning whilst listening to Archers, oh DD when I saw your comment I thought surely not but there he was!
Lunch in the garden, normal rules are relaxed and the dogs lay underneath just in case.
A glass of something cold and alcoholic is about to be enjoyed and then there will be Vera.0 -

1) Palm Sunday service. Very dramatic and all in red (except those of us still in purple cos we forgot lol)
2) friend has just started working in dukes so we went there for lunch, including dd1
3) dd1 spotted pre 5pm sun - thurs fiver burger and fries, with quite a few of main menu included in offer. All 7 of us followed suit. I had the falafel burger - not gone veggie, but rather reductionist - reducing meat for environment
4) then took dogs up to mr piano's parents house. We've left mr piano's dog up there for the week as mr piano is recording and the decorator is doing downstairs this week
5) then home for lovely meal of bread, cheese and tomatoes. Simple and delicious
In bed with the archers. Oo exciting. Don't listen pusscat don't listen. Tiger won't change his spots (or stripes)MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025
