Forgot to congrats BoP and BoPette on thirty - up. Only got half as far as that..
Very pleased you got your uncaring nurse shifted, Mhags and that MrM has been able to rest.
VJsmum, hope the antibiotics sort you out - sometimes there is no other answer.
1. My new microwave 'pressure cooker' - not any faster, really, but a much safer way for me to do pasta and rice in the micro, without using a heavy pyrex casserole dish.
2. A great night at the live music club. Having been banned from FB for three days for videoing a former chart single there it was good to hear so many traditional / non-mainstream/self-penned songs and to be able to video them.
3. I won a bottle of good red wine in the music club raffle.
4. Sorting through a drawer in the hope of finding stray anti-inflammatories, I came across my long-mislaid expired passport. I don't have a photo driving licence so really need a passport for ID, However I couldn't apply for a new one until I found my old one.
5. In addition to your pleasures: I also found in the drawer a small gift I'd bought a few years ago for my sister, whose birthday is in a fortnight. It fits in the box of goodies I've been putting together for her, so off it will go. I didn't find the painkillers, but didn't mind too much!
Extra pleasure. Daffs for St David's Day. Dydd Dewi Sant Hapus i chi.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
1. having a hair cut
2. buying a new top
3. lovely salad lunch
4. chatting to the lady who works in the clothes shop
5. deciding to utilise that nice shop more.0 -

Sleep well Mr.Mhags, you stayed far longer than any of us could begin to hope for, you fought and gained the time with Mhags and the family because of the love you all share and now you can take your well earned rest, bon voyage, enjoy flying free and soaring on the wind, you'll always be part of the sunset.
Mhags I'm so sad for you all but thankful that Mr.Mhags is no longer in pain and suffering, Bless you all and bless him too along with that amazing team of people who looked after you all so well and made these last few weeks bearable, hugs and more hugs and a pat for dearest Haggis xxx.0 -

Mhags I can't think of any way to put it better than Soutar himself, another Scot taken far too young:
End is in beginning;
And in beginning end:
Death is not loss, nor life winning;
But each and to each is friend.
The hands which give are taking;
And the hands which take bestow:
Always the bough is breaking
Heavy with fruit or snow.
Although we never met mrmhags he became a friend to us all through your writings. May his spirit now be as free as the hot air balloons floating past your window.MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025
