BoPs token ha expired. Ranting rantings lost. Post destroyed.
Oh bother I have been &'d.
Still, I hear Cher is in tears. All is,well then.0 -
1) Chat with DD2 last night which has set my mind at peace over health problems and she has given me the solution to my last disastrous GP appointment, bless her.
2) Using some home grown tomatoes from the freezer to make a delicious low calorie soup for a few days lunches.
3) Getting the ironing done and put away, I'm sad I know but I DO enjoy ironing!
4) The bright pink nerines that are in the front border, they've been blooming for ages and are still a cheery sight on an autumn day.
5) A garden full of birds when I put out their breakfast bread this morning, more of them than usual and more species than have been around for a while, I guess that the colder weather is leaving them needing to feed more frequently. I put the food under the bay tree and for once the gulls didn't see it and come in mob handed to clear it in seconds, the garden birds were able to eat their fill today.0 -
I decided to hold off pleasures yesterday as we went over to DF’s and he is in a bad way, he was talking about going away, and making sure we knew where all the important documents are, not eating, sleeping in-between sentences, I am still hoping it was just an off day.:(
1. I didn’t sleep well and admit I didn’t get up early.
2. Up and porridge for brekkie, we really need to do a shop soon, as now out of milk and eggs etc.
3. Tidied the house up a little, then cleaned the car inside and out which took a fair while, but it looks better than it did for the remembrance parade Sunday.
4. Tided up my clothes, 1 bag of summer and 2 bags of winter clothes out of the door, what is left all sorted to know what I have. Left to do: it’s time to rationalise the shoes I have 2 boxes of them that haven’t been touched in years, old and very used just never thrown out and taking up space.:o
5. DH and I just had a big Wispa bar, it’s been a long time since we had a proper chocolate bar and it was sooo tastey, bought on offer of course.:D0 -
1. One son of the father:

& is liking this Adam, but liked another once before.
'I know that when the song is over, we go home'
Everybody keep singing. Not one single lurker, not one single poster here is to damned well even consider anything else.
2. The Now Show:

All laughter more necessary than ever, ipso facto, all Best Medicine.
3. Tom and friend and most of all, London cabbie, who intervened, came to &'s rescue yesterday, post-Spits, late loading time. Sudden, totally flat tyre. DG & had packed, stacked, but not trolleyed all out, or loaded. 40mins' attempting to reflate with footpump, getting nowhere - and there they were, insistent helpers:-))).
Finally left after 23h, bed by 3 bells.

Again, DG that &'s last, a long-hauler, is not there now.
Doing what is poss. for current, but but but..........
5. Msg>&. Ticket for Stade de France ready to print. Bon.

6. Spits - DG, better than OK and better than worst-ever last week. Both auction Lots may still be &'s,
[Oh, other coup de foudre & was amazed to take:

-but they remain my true pleasure until they're another's:-)
Had marvellous, delightful buyers and things just went.
Banking this arvo. a good moment, altho' K upset and weighing in - like all peeps atm - re: transAt result.
On that note, & will report that every single US citizen passing through apologised the moment they spoke. All had tears at some point during any exchange, man or woman, old or young. All begged forgiveness. One, a Spits seller prev. n/k to &, went round everyone, falling upon verbal sword, confessing to being native of OHIO...
This is how it was yesterday in &'s experience of London.

Yes, & will certainly go on with Adam Cohen, new company during these writings - and sings in good, good français.
Thankyou leonard

Leonard Cohen's death this year has upset me, second only to Terry Wogan :-(
Pleasures for today:
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Not such a fantastic day at work but not bad.
3) Busy 4-6pm! Fed hens, ran to shop for milk, let Warm Front man in, tidied up, got ECG results over phone, started pizza dough off, fed cats...
4) Warm Front man (not called that anymore) might give us money off a replacement storage heater. Have had no heat downstairs for 8-9 years.
5) Made pizza for tea. Had run out of strong bread flour so used spelt flour and it was quite nice! Did yesterday's gammon sliced finely, few cherry tomatoes, sweetcorn and BBQ sauce.
6) Brother here to watch football with sons. We were English tonight ;-)
7) Smaller son in bed and brother and bigger son playing random game on the living room floor throwing dice.
8) Last Leg in a minute.
9) It's the weekend!0 -
My pleasures for today
1. Fresh coffee 1st thing.
2. Meeting friends for lunch.
3. Spending 4 hours catching up with friends.
4. Speaking to dgs1 on phone & having mini conversation. He is 2.
5. Car passed mot without any extra work.0 -
I was the woman someone went home to. That song made me very angry. Cursing in my head still.
Now for the happy stuff.
* The pantry has paint on the walls. Shelves will be built Monday. My builder ask if Pepe could do the painting. As he needs the work, I said a happy yes. Beautiful job on the walls, baseboards, trim, shelf boards. One more coat tomorrow and then the builder will install it on Monday. :j
* All of my children called and talked today. The election has unnerved us all a bit. I do think Trump is more moderate than his election rhetoric has painted him. Still he has made many (ridiculous) promises.
* DD1 attended a meeting held by the director of the CIA. A satellite program for recruiting is being set up at the university she works for. They are looking for more diversity. (that is not the interesting part) He held a Q&A for several hours after his pitch and was thoughtful and surprisingly direct in his answers. She really enjoyed the session, esp as we look into a future of new policies perhaps being implemented. I enjoyed hearing about the meeting.
* The fact that being on the OS boards has changed the way I spend money. I have not gone hog wild buying the best but am buying good enough when purchasing for my remodel. Still the stove with the red knobs would look so good in my new kitchen. Then I tell myself 'Get a grip woman' !!! (Old dogs can learn new tricks!!)
* DH snoring softly as I write this. He represents stability and security for me. :lovethoug
* New fleece pajama pants. Bought cheap at Wallyworld.
* Red paint bought...no not BoP's brand. The garden arch needs a few new coats. ( no duvets will be used in this endeavor)
* DH announced he would take me to breakfast. I tried the new menu item... lemonade tea called an Arnold Palmer. This is one of my favorites but not by this restaurant. Tasted like lemon water. But the bacon was fab!! Can't have it all. Ignore the mediocre and celebrate the good.
 Waves at SkintOverprepare, then go with the flow.

Hello all,
Five pleasures from the last couple of days:
1. Organic egg mayo sandwiches on wheat free bread - one of my favourites at the moment.
2. Getting a hug from DS2 when he discovered he'd got a really high mark for his first OU TMA of the year. He was so pleased with himself.
3. Getting my late TMA in at last. :T
4. Catching up on 'The Missing' - now enjoying it (the writing and plot construction mostly) after having begun to make sense of what is going on.Switched off when I could see where the ending of episode 5 was heading - not into that sort of thing!
5. The lovely yellow rose bush in front of the kitchen window has decided to produce half a dozen new roses in November
Have a good Saturdays everyone.

Some pleasures for the last couple of days,
Bright, clear but cold day on Friday, the moon getting fuller and nearer in the night sky.
Seem to be constantly filling the bird table and feeders, a greater spotted woodpecker has made a real mess of one of the seed ones but beautiful bird all the same.
Made a huge dish of 3 cheese macaroni for tea.
Lovely equine pal happily tucking into huge pile of hay.
Today's weather is wet and windy so haven't ventured far, caught up on a lot of TV including the splendid Planet Earth 2, actually cheered when the plucky chin-strap penguin made it back to his family.0 -
