    3) Just booked Borth Youth Hostel for one night in half term. :-) Haven't been to ice cream town or its hinterland since early last year.

I see what you did there ;):T

    Yawning here. Pleasures for today:

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Training day at work.

    3) Smaller son had a half day but wanted to be left on his own so he was! Got home to find all OK and a plate and frying pan out. He'd eaten quite a few fried eggs. Not with bread or toast - just brown sauce!

    4) Went to the barbers for bigger son's hair cut.

    5) Smaller son made a pizza for tea (dough in bread maker). BBQ chicken and rather tasty.

    6) I remembered to water the dug over bit of garden and new plants put in yesterday.

    7) Watched Hunted.

    8) In bed now and about to listen to Mark Steele on the radio.

    1. Fairly good day at work. Listening to colleague wedding plans and how happy she is.

    2. Tea of ham and an onion sauce. Tasty and with carrots and spinach from the garden.

    3. DH did more decorating of spare room. He painted the radiator and then DS2 was delighted as it meant the heating went on for a while.

    4. Used up some of my bubble wrap and brown paper store.

    5. Good journey home from work. It can take 10 minutes to get to the main road.

I've felt a bit lethargic today, think I had too much sugar !

Was strangely a warm start to the day, it was 18o and very windy overnight.

I was very optimistic and put some clothes horses out of sight ....OH came home and asked if winter was over? It seems not, rain came on and I've had to hang up clothes inside!

Walked up to library, borrowed some books and flicked through a magazine. Pharmacy for some paracetamol. I obviously go in too often as the lovely pharmacist knows my name! Bakers for some doughnuts ( for me and my boy....the boy who woke me up when he came in at late o'clock this morning!) , salvos for a mooch but nothing of interest.

Nice chat on phone to friend in Sydney.

Lost a dog but thankfully found a dog! Out in the front garden having a good old mooch. The side gate must have blown open in last nights wind and he decided to go walk about whilst I had ran out to bring washing off line when it started raining. Panic over!

    Made spag Bol for tea.

Walk with dog and OH , we were dive bombed by Minah birds and magpies. They are nesting and obviously thought we were a threat!

The gardens are at their best just now. So much colour , so much purple. Roses starting to bloom. Stunning blossom . All just lovely.

All quiet, I've started a library book, son is out, girls are being best friends upstairs and OH is out in his man cave. It's still daylight ( just) and I can hear a blackbird singing away.

I have work tomorrow ...who knows what I shall find lurking....maybe I shall be surprised by a sparkling kitchen!

Hope you all have a good weekend :)
  • Oh no. Red Friths and BBQ chicken. Please think of the hens!
  • 1) A trip to town on the bus and finding a little 'pumpkin' tabard for Zebra for £1 in Wilkos, to go with his 50p witches hat from Asda!

    2) Charity shop find this morning is something that DD1 has wanted for years and years but always deemed to expensive to buy. I won't say what it is because she reads these threads too, she'll have to wait for her Christmas Stocking to find out.....won't you???

    3) Nice but sad walking down the road at lunchtime to get Cookie I passed our regular postman and said Hi. He stopped and looked at me and said ' I can't get used to seeing you not walking a dog' so I showed him the lead and said I'm just off to get her. 'No' he said 'I can't get used to seeing you not walking YOUR dog!'. That Docky dog is still in an awful lot of peoples hearts and minds!

    4) Found a lovely 'Under the Sea' floor puzzle for Zebra for when he cones to stay at the end of the month.

    5) Family....lovely chat with DD2 as she drove home last night and DD1 coming for the weekend, bless them, I love them so very much!
  • The cans of paint are inn. Slush fund is awash with readies, and we have plastics money as well. A fiver with Winston on it is in the pocket. Obviously BoP cannot go innto detail at the moment, but the big Warster train so missed last week, looks likely to be missed. The wall will be drenched.

    It's the Weekend!:beer::beer:

"pleasures " is not apt word for this rtn, from phone, up on gallops Lainey, rain settling in.

    1. Not behind bars. Someone else is. Doing all possible, but headway difficult. Just as well & is vile old bat who never gives in, gives up. Yes, pick one's battles, but this one is essential, just, true. Join me, please.

    2. New washing machine ordered, blast it. Don't want or need drying function. Mr T worked out best, price, free connection and blahblah. Mr Lewis couldn't match. Unavoidable - and just when savings are being hit from all directions, of course. Small 1st world beer on the problem scale.

    3. Mhags, may we see pic of those purple flowers please?

    4. Good people. They exist, even working at hmps. Ditto, remains of savaged legal aid chambers. Thank you so far.

    5. Looking right, strange red glower of sun sinking below thick slate cloud through rain.
