    Hiya Everyone

Sparrer - Its not that I dislike being in the caravan but our caravan holidays usually go something like this - 7 - 10 hour drive then dh winds legs down and does water, toilet and gas. I then clean the caravan and unpack whilst watching the kids as dh is chatting to someone somewhere, and taking kids to toilet as well as cleaning up after dog. Then I put the kids to bed. next morning i trip over dh's shoes when i get up then i get kids up and give them breakfast and take them to shop so dh gets a lie in, come back, trip over dh's shoes again!!! then make our breakfast and we have run out of water as dh only half filled it  so after an hour of moaning that the kids need drinks i get the water myself, get the beds put away! Then I put up the awning whilst watching kids and taking them to toilet and walking dog and clearing up after dog. Following day I am nagging dh to empty toilet which he doesnt so no one can use it until he does finally empty it the following day after I have done several midnight toilet runs with the kids. Thats why I dont like it, dh sees it as a holiday for him so doesnt want to do anything so I have to!! Although he is leaving me down there with kids for 2 days so will be interesting to see how i feel about it with him not there!!!! :p

    Anyway, mine for today

1 Ds1 parent evening. His teacher said he is perfect and well above average!!! :j

2 Cleaned the kitchen and dinning room as per flylady!

3 Cleaned the bathroom and hoovered rest of house

    4 Done the ironing

5 Loads of washing done today (mostly caravan stuff!!!)

    Thats it for me

    My five pleasures for today:

    1) Finding 4p at the bus stop - a good start to the day.
    2) The bus turning up early so I didn't have to stand in the cold!
    3) Feeling better in myself. My sense of taste (food-wise, at least ;) ) has finally returned and I've started doing some exercises too.
    4) Sleeping all night.
    5) Buying a pot of basil, reduced to clear, and calling it "Manuel" ;)

It's been a busy, busy day, and I'm quite tired so I'm going to get an early night, and get back to things again tomorrow. Have a good evening, everyone.

Welcome Julie67 and saraht :) Buenas dias Manuel the basil plant :):)

    1. Phew! My car turned out to be (possibly dangerously) low on oil....not sure how badly I've damaged the engine, the mechanics said it's a bit noisy, oops :( However, I'm hoping that it will be okay, please send keep going vibes to my poor little car....the pleasure is that it only cost £18 to put the oil in!!

    2. Worked from home today, and managed to avoid housework all day!

    3. DD went for a play at a friends and I had a great chat with the mummy when I went to pick her up.

    4. Popped in for a good natter with a friend this afternoon.

    5. A lovely person gave me some party bag goodies, so DD's advent calendar gifts are nearly done already!

    Hi All.

Kitchenbunny - The early night sounds a good idea. We had to get up at 5am for DD's swim training, but my head still knew it was really 4am:eek:

Megs Mum - Your Dorset Apple Cake sounds wonderful. Please post a link. I found a few recipes, but didn't have time to make one. :( I was wondering about the plural for TARDIS too:rotfl:

    5 for Sunday

    1. Used up the remainder of my World Book Day tokens in WHSmith. Had about 30 tokens left from 2 classes. The assistant was happy for me to use them to buy £1 books when I explained I was trying to get a class set of reading books for school. Got 2 lots of 15 books suitable for teens. Turns out the SA's mum worked in a special school too:)
    2. Picked up lots of left over inserts to the News of the World in Sainburys. It had a free Teen Guide to Money written by :money:. SA was happy for me to take it, so another free resource for school:rotfl:
    3. Friends round for tea. Lovely company and the children played nicely.
    4. Bought Stardrops in Mr S.
    5. DS2 telling DH that he thinks he has a nice life because he has lots of friends and we are nice to him. He talked about some children at school who dont have many friends and their parents aren't very nice to them. Awwwww:o

    5 for Today

    1. TARDIS eggsperiment went really well until the last egg which 1a v.silly girl threw down the stairs. I was cross:mad: However, despite this it was fun:rotfl:
    2. I protected my egg inside my TARDIS with sponge - cake sponge! It amused me, and worked quite well!!:rotfl:
    3. Take away from the chip shop tonight as I had to go to a committee meeting at a charity where I am a Trustee. Great excuse for takeaway:)
    4. The Lottery sydicate at work got 4 numbers on Saturday. :j
    5. Prospect of free trip to London next week if we go down with DH on a business trip and share his hotel room. :D

Newlywed - how did it go?

Have a great day tomorrow. HE x

Kittikins - I'm glad to hear your car decided to heal itself but you're very wise to have it checked out - keeping my fingers crossed that it's nothing serious - Just seen your update. That's very naughty.......you should check your oil level regularly - sorry the engineer in me coming out. It should be fine once it's relubricated itself
ACEY - It sounds like your eldest is turning into a proper little chef. You must be so proud. :)
Jexy - Be warned every job I've applied for is in Aberdeen. If I get one I'll be able to pop across and see your girls and bottle greenhouse. I'm glad you're finally sorting out things and that H is coming back :D

Thanks for putting my mind at ease Carolyntia :) I kind of assumed that as I'd had a service done the back end of last year, the oil would be fine....and (another excuse here), as I live on a hill, I forget to check the oil on a level surface when the engine is cold as it's not the easiest thing to remember ;) But, lesson learnt....it's not making the ticking sound all the time now, so that must be a good thing!
