Evening all
Five pleasures for Tuesday:
1. Got two bulbs bought and lights fixed at home - one of those jobs that takes only a few seconds but which has been on the list of things to do for ages. Now done.
2. Digging allotment in the blowy sunshine while listening to the afternoon play on R4. Bliss.
3. Lovely peaceful warm bath when I got home before I had to dash out again for work.
4. Two puddings at supper time.
5. DS1 told me he'd ordered DS2 a really nice, not very expensive, surprise present online (for no special reason other than he thought his brother would like it a lot - which he will)
Mhags and family, I'm keeping everything crossed for tomorrow. Big hugs.
Sweet dreams

5. Dress bought yesterday from CS for £2 fits and looks good.
Mhags - will be thinking of you and your family tomorrow ((hugs)).0 -

Wednesday MDT day.
Up at usual early o'clock, phoned my friends DD to wish her a happy birthday , she told me all about her party, her presents, her day ..first time it's ever snowed on her birthday!
Into city with OH. Traffic is so busy at that time. Need to start saving gold coins for parking meters.
MDT, totally overwhelming. More so than the last twice.
Much sobbing. But it's done.
Train to work, a tiny 3 hour shift. Hugs from Main Colleague.
Train home with about 30 seconds to spare.
Chat with friend from Sydney.
Picked up DD2 from school.
Cuddles with the super soft and shiny dog! Last night he rolled in something disgustingly smelly, probably possum poo. So he was plonked in the bath and scrubbed! This turned into a family event with us all in the bathroom.
Watching Holby and eating RTC brownies and typing this ...multitasking!0 -
Today was to be a noputahday, but switched on for you mhags.
Another special post from you yesterday, with all & feelings so well-versioned by judi.

1. 15hrs for Cambridge Labour yesterday. Happy to be dogsbody releasing others and it was good work. Early call to elderly near-blind, partially deaf postal voter and luckily found her still-sealed envelope slipped through piano lid. Then stayed to put her socks, shoes, coat on for Day Centre time, find handbag thought lost etc. Carer didn't come, but ride was due, altho' 45mins late eventually. Son rang during &'s 2hrs, so was able to establish bonafides, reassure him, visiting Sunday from distance. A tiny gllimpse - an intelligent 93yr-old, physically hampered, mind busy and days occupied, thanks to social and voluntary services ALL under threat....why I am doing this bottom of pecking order stuff - and happily.. Belief and principle working in harness - which as OAP in a democracy I am free to offer.
2. The exchange of comms - for sure:-) - between squirrel and & out window onto seedy alley, as I folded, sorted, counted, labelled.
3. P&R co-passengers[&'s having to bite bullet re: paying to use the blasted space while canvassing] but that is gumment related, too: 1/3 Council precept squeeze] , after no.1, still only 10h-ish. Recognised Brora scarf of one. Immediate happy group talk. They, too, are off to FTM
http://ftmlondon.org/
in 3 weeks, one having had working connection with Isabella Blow. Niece does similar now, having won prestigious award[& knows which]etc.etc.
4. An astonishing, stunning ancient twisty viney-tree on old derelict almshourses now under gentrifiy/renovate{Elm Street-ish, dd], , part of hidden 'seens' over last days. Must i.d. it, so answers on a postcard please: 2 distinct leaf-types growing, definitely only one trunk. Leaf 1: narrow, 10mm, sessile oak style, understated grey-palette green matte. Leaf 2: shiny unfurler, twisted willow-style, but copper beech colour. & just stood, stared, didn't have camera[DID have heavy bag of p/w, hence that offload of all not strictly necessary]. Even asked it 'Now, what are you? I've never seen your like before'.
5. Late back - and out flew little Mrs Robin as &, too late, realised[yet again], apologised [sameoldsameold]as I tried to filter by. Even caught nano-second peep of her in nest as I stepped in this time. Have to keep taking rspb man's reassurance to heart. But but but..........

Many hugs to mhagster xxx
Went to the Leicester Tigers awards dinner last night. Had the director of rugby on our table. He's still alive to tell the tale.
Pleasures for today and yesterday:
1) Been for my gym induction today. Was clad in lycra. Most people still have their eyesight.
2) Cracked on through my to do list.
3) Started a new book :j :j
4) Vouchers for Mr T's saved me £2.30. I was delighted.
5) Spending time last night with new acquaintances. DH and I are still crippled with shyness (him more than me) when meeting new people, but we know we have to try to push through it. Harder when it's on a "school night".

Finishing touch is Post Quick Reply......... did.
GONE!
Whole blutty thing disappeared.
Me, too.
-after having corrected bop re:'& sin bin. You know the rules.'[as per lost post]
& does indeed know the Rules.
Observes them scrupulously. Legal implications otherwise - apart from fact that principled beliefs would not mix with other.
Can't re-do rest atm. That one's strong enough to stand alone.

Evening all
Not the day I'd intended because I felt grotty (sore throat, stiff neck and bleugh) and cancelled just about everything I'd intended to do.
Five pleasures regardless:
1. Large fraction of the day spent in bed snoozing.
2. Occasionally sleeping properly as well.
3. From time to time got up and ticked a couple of things off on the to do list (with sit-down breaks). Managed to repack the freezer (long overdue) and managed to box up all the recycling (much needed). Couldn't face the washing up.
4. DS2 has just done just about all of the washing up.
5. Laughing out loud while reading a-Sports-Club-that-we-collaborate-with's AGM minutes - the funniest minutes I have ever read. I shall email the author to thank her.
mhags, I'm still keeping everything crossed for you all.
Sweet dreams
