    1. DS1 came home yesterday for a very quick visit - about an hour to collect his car. He will be home tomorrow for Easter. He said as he was leaving that smells good I wish I was eating at home. It was a recipe I hadn't tried before but will cook again.

    2. LO tea for lunch at work with nice comments about how good it smelt.

    3. Nice text from BIL. I don't often hear from him.

    4. Support from a collegue when I needed it.

    5. Saw a dog walking friend and had to tell her about my dog but it is good thinking about her and how she used to run in the fields behind the house.

    1. THE SEEDLINGS

    IMG_0488.JPG

I need to stop ordering seeds. My bank even rang me up today to check it was me repeatedly buying things under the value of £1 from eBay :rotfl:

    2. I finally went to the doctor about my anxiety and have been prescribed something to help. I feel like a weight has been lifted and OH is very happy and he's been gently nudging me towards the GP for a while now (hopefully it'll have the desired effect and I'll stop waking at 3am frightened about everything!)

    3. The loaf I made last night was heavenly. We had scrambled eggs with fresh tomatoes on it today. Yummy.

    4. Washing basket empty. Always feel a bit sad writing that, but it does bring me joy.

    5. A lovely sunny day :)

    6. DD was so excited this morning, going off to school with her ridiculous easter bonnet (spoiler: it has a battery pack )

    7. On top of the "endeavor cup", she's won the mental maths award for consistently getting 100%. I've lifted "Amish weekdays" (not allowed tech on weekdays, just books/games/gardening/playing outside) and she's sitting goggling at the telly as a treat. It was actually her last day of term today so we have a few weeks together now :)
  • Stopped at Cress!

Seedlings a go go, Ok who put the big picture up! No commando!

5 Poets day the morrow, and no curry today. God did not put lambs on this earth to provide food did he. Especially curry. Shocking.

4 Money is on NZ. Got 7-2, other ways of loosing your money are available for you to check out.

3 New digs sorted by BoPsie, so the edge of Sparrashires will be no mores from Easter, in the heart of Sparralands we come. Note to well wishes, is near a prior seagull factory. Now what can I say.

2 Morrow is eight piece breakfast. Rubs tum. May churn out or not!

1 I did not come here to praise!

    Good evening everyone :hello:

    mhagster - Deal-tastic! :j :j

Frith - send your son to me! Fresh pasta? Yes please!

End of term for me tomorrow. I can't wait! :j :j Means that I get to catch up with a little sleep, as well as friends.

    Pleasures for today:

    1) Just been checking out my career pension online. Let's just say I won't be retiring this week.... :)

    2) Stir fry for supper. Always nice and easy, yet healthy and uses some of the veg which were planning on going on strike in the fridge!

    3) Chosen my recipe for the next cake club. It's going to be a cappuccino cake. Mmmm, yum!

    4) Been reading about King Richard III's burial in Leicester Cathedral (great place to visit, if you ever have a chance) and gutted to find that a mere 25 miles separated me and Benedict Cumberbatch today. I could have held the paper, from which he was reading, had I known!

    5) Continuing to read my book. A real treat to lose myself in another world.

Supposed to be a day off today but had to go into work for an early meeting - didn't go near my emails though or I would have never got home! Home by 10 and in the study with a coffee trying to make sense of my dissertation thoughts - and finally got a eureka moment - spoke to my tutor who was very pleased with my question and the fun begins!!! Got 4 weeks to do the proposal in full then 3 and half months to get the whole thing done and dusted!!!

On a not so good note DD1 has said she doesn't want to go to London with DD2 as all they ever do is argue (which is true!) and now I feel awful as I had asked DD2 to get time off to come - its a total disaster!!! neither of them want to do the same thing and DD2 moans that DD1 always gets to do what she wants and never the other way round! I have suggested that DD2 and I go away just the 2 of us on a different weekend which is not very MSE - but not sure that has helped the situation! What a mess!!!! The problem is the things DD1 and I talked about doing are not really DD2's cup of tea but are mine - and I want to spend time with DD1 on her own as I miss her so much! DD2 causes drama in the house with DD3 and DS all the time and I get so fed up with her attitude! So although I feel really guilty about saying this I kind of do want to just go with DD1 - and that makes me sound like the worst mother in the world (and feel like it!) - really not sure what to do to fix this and keep everyone happy! Its so hard having 4 kids on my own some days!!!

And to top it all I have a sore throat and headache tonight and I do not have time to be sick!!!

Ah well I should really focus on some pleasures to cheer myself up!

    1. Day off (almost)
    2. Got a focus and question of my dissertation that seems to meet the university requirements eventually!
    3. Proper comfort food for lunch- tinned lentil soup with a crisp buttie!
    4. Managed to get a reduction in Gas and electric bill with new supplier!
    5. DS wanted to tell me everything about every part of his day tonight! - might have been a ploy to stay up later but was nice to hear is stories about what he had learned in school and cadets (he now wants to do this every night - which again might be a ploy to stay up - but very lovely!)

Right - off to look for some paracetamol in the hope it clears my head and throat enough to let me sleep!!!

Have gone very tired so a quick update from me! Lost all motivation to do anything sensible today. :-/

    1) Not a bad sleep.

    2) Pretty much the end of charity shopping as will not have the same chances from now on! FINALLY, got myself an outdoors, waterproof coat. I've made do with the same pac a mac type thing for 10 years so today got a Craghoppers posh jobby with removable fleece. From a charity shop - as new, they are £120 online!

(Off to Wales including ice cream town next week, VJsmum).

    3) Strange phone call from the secretary of bigger son's school. It was very formal and went something like this: S - Bigger Son has been spraying some sort of stink bomb in the boy's changing rooms. Mrs C (head of year) asks if you can come to school to collect it? Me - Perhaps Mrs C would like to decide what to do with stink bomb kit? S - I believe Mrs C would be glad to take action. Me - I'm sure Mrs C will relish that opportunity! :-D

    4) Swimming with sons and brother.

    5) Smaller son had a spiffing day. He went to an activity run by AFASIC (I'd never heard of them until yesterday) with others from his autism base, and from the base in his old school and a nearby special school. They did circus skills including riding little bikes, all sorts of PE activities and his favourite was they built ukuleles from balsa wood and plastic butter cartons! They were tuned properly (now out of tune so I shall have to google what to tune it to) and he has brought it home.

Going out tonight with the girls from work. Is it bad that we are all glad that previous owner is unavailable to join us? We are spending our hard earned tips from over the summer before the new owner took over. I shall wear something new to me :) ( thank you salvos)
I shall wear nail polish !
I'm off for the next two days ....I had reason to look back through the diary ( aka 5 OS pleasures) to find something I did in August ( new Medicare card) last Saturday off was 16/08/14

    Have a fabulous Friday :)

Oh dear judi - sorry if that &'s throat and head you've taken on, although I'm greedily keeping the bonfire inhalation bads.
mhags - hope you're glamming it royally as we speak. V. glad new[liked] boss is kiwi:-)...any reflected glory will do:-), even at 7-2. I'm not so sure, bop, but hope so. What does Raffles say about sparrershire move? Is he newt/sparrer cross-skilled?
Frith - elder son already has customers here:-) Great coat find and you will find CS time, or maybe early a.m. carbooting, before back-to-allotment w/e time?
There's a ukelele [neighbour's]sitting out uncollected by our too-precious bin men yesterday. They've left cardboard and a dead crate full of wotnot too. Suppose &'ll have to make another 30mile round trip to dispose of it.
vicky- are you avenging defeat by Chiefs this w/e? Big match for RCT at Marseille vs Toulouse demain.

    1. Made it to near town, but wanted to be back in bed throughout. Bank sort-outs done - yes, there had been 2 hack attempts on &'s a/c's.

    2. Rtns of sth for France NOT done. M&S shut at 17h! I loathe M&S: they've never been one of &'s things. Have always felt the same incomprehension over M&S=flagship albion as I did about certain now jailed/dead/discredited 'personalities'.
17h shut is ridiculous[although doorsign said 17.30h]. Have to go again today and don't want to go anywhere but bed. It's been bungle and ineptitude from first to last, at Dover, Canterbury, Cambridge and finally, post. One sensible, likable person, but mostly aggression in thrall to non-working machines and systems and no sentient being intelligence. Aiming for a successful business, relying on non-working i-pads and uppity apparatchiks is not wise. &'s Penelope Keith Polite Rant Threshold is soon crossed. These people can't LISTEN to a customer for a full sentence without butting in, do basic sums, read/understand their own docs or labels, or phone-spout, as it's not humanspeak in the 1st instance, just company-script.
'Don't you like them then &?'
    :-)=pleasurable catharsis, je suppose.

    3. Neighbour's 8 unexpected puppies are all doing well. Several already sold, but mother is now having general snarls against anyone, which worries neighbour, protective instincts notwithstanding. They are handsome though - 5 boys, 3 girls.

    4. Enjoyed all 3 episodes' catch-up of Damian Trench 'In and Out of the Kitchen'

    Miles Jupp phan here:-).

5.. Finished vintage brimmed cloche hat+rose for S[chemo/hair loss ongoing]in France. Will send today.
Looks rather good. Will do another for her, prob. this:

Prob. not wisest thing , but must wash screaming hair, so off I go.
Happy ends of weeks to all.
    Good luck on work-hunt, pk.
