& that version of 'Let her go' is lovely and far more sedate than the one we were singing yesterday as we were threatening to let the wheelchair roll down a hill literally into the lions den!!! My wheelchair bound friend luckily has a great sense of humour (had a dog toy squeak implanted into her boob prosthesis just for the effect it had in the chemo clinic!!!:rotfl:) - so lots of laughing by her, me and the kids - the only one not laughing was her hubby who was very seriously taking proper pictures and tutting at us!!!! (and yes he does look a little stark!)

Hope that's your 3 well and truly done for now &(well 4 but who's counting!)

Today has been a quite one but still managed to spend money - this needs to stop right now!!!! I have had only 6 NSD's this month - which is just not good enough!!!! lots of pleasures though so a good day all round!

    1. Cadet boots arrived for DS - a pleasure because it would have been a disaster and a frantic boot hunt before camp tomorrow if they hadn't. It definitely brought stress levels down in the house

    2. Amazing and thoughtful gift arrived - can't wait to get stuck in!!!

    3. Catch up with cake making friend - planning mothers day cake well underway!

    4. Lie in - very unusual in this house! (I could get used to it though!!!) but it does mean less time to get things done!!!

    5. Another day off work tomorrow! (I could get used to only working a 1 day week!!!)
  • VJsmum: Please take care of yourself.
    1. I burned brekkie toast as in it was charcoal right through as I was distracted in thoughts, then chucked a hot x bun on a plate!:o
    2. Freezer food planning is creating space, with all sorts of creations, making sure not to buy things we have frozen.
    3. Lots of seeds gathered, some going in plastic egg containers but a lot left.
    4. Way way over budget this month already:o, ikea relieved me of money for drawers for the bedroom, they had to be a specific size and we had scouted for 2nd hand but it was to specific but we were able to get as cheap as possible as DH changing them to fit, but still pricey. And the food shops we went to Lidl and spent a lot but it ended up including power tools and inkahol, also called in at Costco also seriously reigning in the rest of this month.:o
    5. Decorating, lots of decorating read dust everywhere and cleaning all of the time sanding, filler, washing, today we got the gloss on the skirting, door frames and sealed the ceiling, the gloss takes a day to dry then needs another coat.:p
    6. I did get a call back next day about the job I am very interested in but I don’t think they are moving too fast with it being half term so I still have everything cross for an interview.:)

CCP so sorry to hear about your sister, hope the hospital will do the scan now she's there.
VJsmum I hope you're feeling at least a little better after your reaction. I empathise as I'm allergic to most shellfish (except moules, thank goodness) eating it makes me terribly ill but not to the point of unconsciousness. Take care :)
& pleased you like the soup
mhags oh dear, I empathise with you also, having been a hirer and firer I understand shaking ones head in despair!

1 Early morning swim with the seals, not quite as far today as it was busy and like me, there are others who like to stay in the lane nearest the edge, hence a lot of waiting til the lane was clear. Nevertheless it was all very friendly, with five of us meeting afterward in the coffee shop.
    2. Did 2 loads of washing for DNeighbour whose wm broke down and flooded her kitchen, the second time it's happened :(
    3. Found a zip pull tag from my rucksack in the boot of the car, much relieved as I'd been using a piece of cord which wasn't too efficient. It'll save some choice Army language, under my breath of course ;)
    4. Started on the chick Easter egg holders for church Spring sale, two down 28 to go
    5. Postie bought me a free pack of bee-attracting seeds

    Sweet dreams :)

Just spotted this for you, Frith:-)

&'s long done brekkies, 2 black green teas and 2 quick calls to NZ, mid- and post-annihilation.
Calls were quick because every couple of minutes meant we were missing 20+-run overs with McCallum wielding the rhubarb.
Girlies led the way, doing same. They had it easier, needing only 123 to win vs chaps' 125. What's 2 runs between friends?

Evening from the land of great heat :(

    Day off work.
    Call to friend from home.

Visit to scone cafe with DD1 , I had a Harry , which was cheese and beetroot relish and DD had a Miss Polly, which was cranberry and white chocolate. They are baked fresh to order. We had to sit outside in the 'back yard' , which has a pink caravan, a hen coop and lots of chintzy , retro objects everywhere.

Fruit and veg shop on way home. RTC peaches and nectarines, potatoes , bananas and rhubarb.

    Snooze fest this afternoon.

Have just ordered takeaway for tea.....freebie as it's our online loyalty card!
10th one is free....it's been a while coming but tonight's the night!

Just waiting on a text from DD2 , she is at after school rehearsals ....she is in the school play ! She is loving new school so far and it's so heartening to see her happy :)

    Have a good day.
dd I hope your work worries sort out soon,
vjsmum I hope you feel better soon. I think I need a trip to GP, still feeling a bit dizzy.....I should listen to my own advice!

    1. Printed out a voucher for a free children's ready meal :)

    2. Took DD to school with me this afternoon to put things back in my classroom, what a hardworking cherub I have!

    3. Managed to get my resources ready for my first lesson on Monday, woohoo! That'll save me about 30 mins, yay, a lie-in awaits :)

    4. Finished a fab library book.

    5. Because I had DD with me, was very sensible in MrW's emporium, only bought the 'free' meal, and some lunch bits to put in my classroom for those days when I forget to take a proper packed lunch.
  • 1) Did my big wardrobe clear out and bagged up stuff for charity shops, sorted all spare bed linen and throws and bagged in vacuum bags (£1 from Poundland)
    2) Sorted out spare room, now ready for guests
    3) Bought pretty indoor plants on sale for £1.50 each and put in kitchen and bedroom
    4) Went to my lovely relaxing Friday yoga class - my UP tracker tells me I've managed 10 workouts this week!
    5) Discovered 'Portlandia' on Netflix (free with my mobile phone contract) and now sitting up in bed with a cup of tea, using the laptop table I found in my spare room (never even used it)

Tomorrow - more yoga, buy some prints to hang in the rest of the flat and then going to the theatre with some friends :)

    Have a lovely weekend, everyone.
