Pleasures for yesterday (Monday).
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Lots of phone calls to the CAB consumer line (they were having trouble with their phones). 2 upbeat and helpful ladies, one lady very negative. Also phoned the nice builder to check a few things then sent a strongly worded letter off to the builders, new builder's report and quote included. Sent recorded delivery so they might be reading it soon..... (the whole thing yesterday took hours!)
3) Popped to mum and dad's to put the old bath panels on their bonfire and to show them smaller son's good school report.
4) Went to pick up the photos I've had done for mum and dad's joint 70th birthdays. Hopefully they will take them to the party on Saturday. I found some very ancient slides at their house and had some photos from when I cleared out grandma's house so there should be plenty they haven't seen before. Strange to see great grandma after 30 years, looking so much like my 95 year old uncle! (her son).
5) Finished the family tree!!!
6) Tasty cous cous for tea with avocado, peppers and pomegranate.
7) Order the Christmas cards from the NAS.
8) Enjoyed watching I'm a Celebrity with sons.
Rather an exciting day today but more on that later.0 -

3.Audit of company day 1 of 2 . Got lots to get through tomorrow so will get there for 7.30 am as long as I finish at reasonable o'clock that should work out fine.
4. Qu*rn again - southern fried things and made some rice and peas to go with it with some jerk seasoning. A bit pokey but nice
5. OH sent a text to say that he had got some nail clippers for the hound (good luck with that one mate) and an L.E.D flashing collar for the tiny terrier next door. My hound has one - he does look like a walking Simon game when he has it on flashing mode in the dark.

1. All day spent doing the 2 famberley crimbo boxes - 9.2kg and 6.9k. P2G best quote to NZ is only about twice the value of the contents....as usual))), but have just used Martin's £10 discount code, very gladly.
2. Isihac on i-player as I work.
3. Vicariously already with Vicky+OH in Stade Mayol - you will have a wonderful time, both matches. Investigated 7 Dec tkt for self, but match clashes with Family at Five[1st Sun mthly]. I'd love to be in Toulon 6 days later.
4. Slow cooker worked in double quick time to produce a beautiful lamb casserole for me a wee while ago. Only went on at 14h. Chuck-ins of onion, celery, carrot, bunch of tarragon, rem. 1/2 bott. of free Magner cider - absolutely delish.
5. hwb waiting, ditto wonderful deep dark Alpes de Haute Provence book[Embrun, Les M!es et environs, where I bought/dismantled/trailered BIG formica buffet/table/chairs on rte back last time.] 'The Murdered House' by Pierre Magnan:

Everything there called up is to the life - the roar of the Durance, the haunting emptiness of so much of this part of France, all around Forcalquier, Manosque etc.

Frith - can't wait for reaction to family tree. You've worked wonders on it, by the sounds of things.
Nearly an eek! moment, screen went away, but came back intact, just as I was about to close with a special pleasure, which is reading that DD2 of mhags can make a new, unfettered, unbullied start in new school. mhags - your fears of her over-frankness probably was a positive for school, coming from her heart as those words clearly did. Every best wish for OH's next appt.

1. Lovely lunch at work where people each took in something to share and all sat round and chatted and laughed. Iwork in two different places and the start of the week is much more enjoyable than the end of the week.
2. Traffic not too bad which was unexpected as there were meant to be roadworks.
3. Both DS1 and DS2 rang and had a chat with them both.
4. Jacket potato for tea - easy and oven helped to heat the house up as heating not working.
5. Lit candles and had forgotten how much I enjoy looking at them.0 -
Evening everyone :hello:
Good to see everyone again! BoP - I'm going to see Paddington and his friends in London at the weekend!
My pleasures for today:
1) Downloaded and printed off the Paddington trail map for London from here: http://www.visitlondon.com/paddington/ I can't wait! It's fine to go on the trail by myself, isn't it?
2) Rail tickets have arrived for when we visit France to see my boys! :j :j Just need the match tickets now. They've been bought, but Toulon haven't sent them to Leicester yet...
3) Started a new Future Learn course for FREE! My favourite price! Loads of different courses here: https://www.futurelearn.com/
4) Salad for supper - and left overs for lunch tomorrow, already in a pot!
5) Sorting out Christmas parcel for my Canadian cousin. I've included a must-buy book called "How to be British"http://www.amazon.co.uk/How-be-British-Collection/dp/0952287013/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1416342095&sr=8-1&keywords=how+to+be+british
